Very interesting new move from tmag.......I have 2 sets of the onset mc irons and they are awesome. Not sure they are 1200 bucks awesome, but they are good. They are definitely not irons for the average player. Irons with zero offset are certainly meant to be played by accomplished players and good ball strikers. Any of you guys thinking about purchasing these better be serious or don't waste your money as 1200 bucks is not just a drop in the bucket!!!!!!

As said earlier it's an exact copy of what Cobra did on their site. Might have even been the same/similar name with The Vault.

Does cobra sell TMAG tour issue stuff on cobra's website? If not, then I fail to see how TMAG doing do is a "copy" of cobra. One site is selling tour issue cobra equipment, the other is selling tour issue TMAG equipment. Doesn't seem like exactly the same thing to me but maybe I am missing something,

They already do...Either TM needs to move more TI equipment than their dealers do now or they're looking to end those relationships. A third option is that they may want more visibility on TI stock and felt they would get that through their own site.

[/quote]Select dealers implies "favorites" to those others that do not have access to sell the items.

This way, TM is not playing favorites by listing them in the vault (i.e. garage sale?) portion of their site.

Like many others have said, it's a very cool idea. Prices aside, I think it's pretty great that they are opening up a lot to the public.

Cool concept but I still can't imagine spending $1200 on irons from 2011..now if they start to release more current tour issue gear then that's a completely different story

Their prices seem on par with other outlets that sell new/newish tour issue clubs. The guys over at TMAG obviously recognize the demand for this type of stuff and want in on the action. There is very little risk and plenty of reward for TaylorMade here. They could also put a serious hurting on the current "Tour Issue" market by limiting the supply of tour issue gear being made available to sellers like Will. Thus driving the price up on TI clubs in the process.

It's quite possible. I got one of the Jason Day replicas and the Vault hadn't been announced yet, so I was surprised to see it on there as a previous item. If TaylorMade gives access to some current model and one-off prototype style equipment through this site, that will be exciting.
