Been busy hunting for bargains LOL

Most of these look like they've never been hit/played

Srixon 8.5 + Miyazaki Kosuma Black

J40s with UST Mamiya ATTAS Tour

MacGregor with some unknown shaft

These will have to be re-shafted since they came with some super light R flex shafts. Impulse buy because I love my S-Yard XV driver/fw and GT Type-S irons. Wanting to try some chunkier irons lol

I have not seen S-Yard for ages.  How old are they?

No idea. XV and GT (last models before they stopped making clubs) are from 2013 iirc and searching for these just turns up ebay auctions and such, so they must be way older. Besides dried up grips, they seem to be in a good condition. Hit them at home with R flex shaft and they feel okay but definitely too whippy.

IMO, Daiwa dropped S-Yard and created OnOff as successor.

As you may know, JDM/Asian shafts are definitely softer than US/EU spec.  They seem to be in excellent condition.  Have fun.

S-Yard was owned by Seiko before they closed. But that's all I know.

Yes they're in a very good shape. Gonna re-shaft these with something heavier but I'm not in a rush. Golf is over where I live 😞

Per my research, Daiwa and Seiko are the same brand.

ONOFF’s parent company, Globeride (formerly Daiwa Seiko Corporation) is a global leader, best known for its fishing equipment. To provide some context (citing 2017 fiscal year-end numbers) 73.6% of Globeride’s sales occur in Japan, and of those, 84% come from fishing-related products. Golf sales account for only 6.6% of Globeride’s total revenue, a figure which is split between ONOFF and sibling subsidiary, Fourteen Golf.

Gotcha. But that in no way implies Daiwa makes OnOff clubheads. Right?

Similar to True Temper acquiring Rifle (PX), Accra, etc.

No, Daiwa doesn't make clubs any more. Only fishing equipment. Don't know when they stopped but Onoff has been around for a while. I want to say early 2000's?

Roddio uses some technology that comes from making fishing poles in their shafts.

I did not know that...or at least never read anything about it. To be honest, don't really care which corporation owns which brand. Just disappointed that S-Yard went out of business. Like I said earlier, I just love their XV driver (T.388 too but XV is just easier to hit). XV irons are pretty great too, just not a solid CB forging... GT Type-S were just gorgeous when new LOL

Slightly off topic, but do you know where Kenji Kobayashi went to after S-Yard? Did he go back to Endo?

7 wood bumped the 3 iron out of the bag, making room for this beauty. Found a brand new in-plastic one for less than used ones were selling for. 🤩

Are you sure? S-Yard released last in 2013 and went out of business after that. Onoff made clubs as early as 2004 from what I've seen.

I guess I m wrong.  I did not know about Onoff until my local shop started pushing the brand and did not see s-yard about the same time.

I agree with you about s-yard.  sorta boutique high quality JDM brand.  not as flashy as gold Honma clubs.

Incorporated a dozen of these with my target rewards

I really liked the feel off the driver and putter, irons not as much, but I haven't been striking them well lately. I'm going to found balls now though because there are just too many leaves on my home course.

Looking at those greens I’m not sure it mattered what you putted with 🤣

Lol buddy, a solid green wouldn’t matter either. I’m trash with the flat stick. Course was Highland Springs CC in Springfield, MO. After hosting their Korn Ferry event, looks like the grounds crew punched the hell out of the greens and skipped town.
