UST Elements Chrome Review - TourSPX Build, Tour Issue Results

Nick, love the review! Wish I could have tried that BBA when I was in ABQ - it's my favorite driver I've ever hit. When the prices come down a little and a few more options than stock are available, I'll probably get one. For the meantime, my V2 is killing it!

Sounds like a great combo! Honestly, the shaft is easier to launch than I thought it would be, even with the counterbalance and the 'heavy' feel, I kept my loft the same and launched it 2* higher...so, if you like the 10.5, you can always open it up to 9.75*...

I was fitted earlier this year for a BBa w a chrome 7F4, but havent pulled the trigger yet
it brought my spin down from 2600 to 2100 from my current set up and I gained over 20yds on average w it
but they wanted like $900 to build it!! LOL!

i may have to piece it out myself after reading your review

That would be a killer combo! Yeah, $900 sounds a little steep. You can get that built for $500-$600 without blinking an eye!

Awesome review. I went from a Oban Kiyoshi White and an Oban Tour Prototype to the chrome and its been phenomenal. I couldnt possibly be any happier. I definitely feel like i dont have to work as hard to hit as i do with other shafts. Perhaps thats the counter balance or maybe just the bend profile. If anyone is considering picking one of these up DO IT, you wont be disappointed.

How did it compare to the White? I hit my friend's Covert with a Kiyoshi White and thought they felt pretty similar. It's interesting that despite the counterbalance, most people (myself included) are noting a heavier head feel.

I'm obviously not local to ABQ, but I know that Will Peoples has them. People seem to be going direct through UST if possible, but any TourSPX fitter should be able to get their hands on one.

[/quote]Chrome has more of a kick yet if feels more stable (not sure how thats possible). Chrome definitely feels smoother to me and I was in love with my kiyoshi until i found the chrome. I can hit a hard draw with the chrome and not fear it over-cooking

I gamed a chrome for several months and it was only unseated by the rogue and that was the smallest of fractions is till get some urges to put it back in the driver because it felt and performed so well

I've actually hit Rogue (60X, yes, they exist) and it felt great, but for some reason, I think Chrome is actually BETTER feeling...and, the price tag is about a million times better.

I know some will consider money to not be an object in the matter, but I need other golf equipment and would rather buy a few dozen premium balls and then some.

Buy the Alpha with stock shaft and order the Chrome from Robert Ennis. That's what I did. Couldn't be happier.

Do these play true to flex? My SS is right around the 105-110 range and have for the most part always played Stiff in everything. Recently played a Fubuki ZT 60 Stiff and a Diamana S+ 62 Stiff. Thoughts?

Yeah, I'm with you on the adjustable hosels. To be more clear, I was more looking at it from an install standpoint in my G25. I prefer graphics down and ALL my G25's are set in the "-" position. So, it stands to reason that I would install the PING adapter on my Chrome the same way.......unless spining it has shown improvement for anyone. If so, in what position were the graphics at address, post spined?

Will Peoples did mine, but if he spined it I didn't ask him to.

These are all TourSPX shafts, so I imagine the radial orientation won't be noticeable shaft to shaft (especially with heavier/stiffer ones).
