Looks like Jordan is bagging the 915!

Hopefully it is just not the headcover.

Was he using the 913 HC on the 910? Good sign if he is bagging the 915

Totally irrelevant but he has the US open putter cover now instead of the us flag themed junkyard dog one.

Some comments in this thread have really made me laugh.

Cannot read most of the drivel in here but can someone please let me know when fairways and hybrid photos are usually released by Titleist?

Typically drivers are introduced at the Quicken Loans/AT&T National and then made available to Euro Tour, Web.com and Asia Tour. You should see Fairways and Hybrids introduced later this summer. Good chance they will be in play at the PGA or the FedEx Cup playoffs. The 913F and 913H were introduced in 2012 at the Barclays.

Sorry! I realized that as soon as I hit enter. I edited it above. Short answer - around the Barclays.

You have to love the not so subtle "FU" to the loft up campaign with the 7.5 degree head.

"Here's our newest offering, and yes we designed it to spin properly so the players we're targeting don't have to buy a 12* driver."
[/quote]

Ha ha. That's funny, and probably not far off.

Looks pretty cool to me, will have to wait to get a hold of a head in the winter and see if it unseats the 910D3.

I also agree with the comments on the ridiculous parroting of TM's marketing. They are fast and effective though, that is for sure. Not many other companies could pull off an aggressive early/mid release marketing pivot towards selling "low/forward CG" that was already utilized 9 years ago to people that normally need the opposite.

My impression of the Titleist/TM brand rivalry has always been colored by the fact that I always seem to see the former at its best and latter at its worst. Watching Rory on TV belting his 910D2 over a corner fairway bunker and seeing Martin Kaymer swing out of his shoes with his R11 only to bounce into the bunker 25 yards short. Seeing a tournament foursome tee off at Half Moon Bay (Olympic club team vs. unknown team), Olympic club guys are wearing all black and are both swinging 910's. Both hit clean 270-280ish yard draws down the dogleg left first fairway. Team #2 are both slightly overweight guys swinging R11's; #1 double crosses one into the right trees and the other pulls his directly into the left trees 50 yards in front of the teebox, REALLY embarrassing given what was at stake. Playing golf last week, one of my playing partners had a shiny new SLDR which he consistently took giant divots behind the ball with, but at least he was lofted up! All this and I still have the memory of blowing up my new R11 relatively fresh in my mind as well as the replacement having shoddy finish work.

I know the clubs aren't to blame for the bad shots (definitely to blame for the defects though) but it just puts a strong negative association in my mind. It shows that aggressive marketing is continuing to put clubs into peoples hands instead of lessons (excluding Kaymer, I think hes doing fine :p) and often at a seemingly lower level of quality. Too many gross dollar signs floating around everywhere.

Rory Mcilroy is way longer than kaymer carry wise, rory has a ballspeed in the 180 ish, launch angle is the 13 °-15 ° and spin in the 2000-2400, whereas kaymer has a much lower ball flight, much higher spin and less ball speed, so this will result in less carry, but get tons of roll, when he won the US OPEN this year he was in the top 10 in driving distance though, 8th if my memory is good, so you can't blame him for using a SLDR and being short.

I don't think that there are any superior driver out there, the best driver is the driver that give you the ball flight that you want, appeals you at adress .......

The SLDR seems to be a great driver, lots of tour player like Joost LUITEN that are titleist player or other brand player have switch to the SLDR Driver

He seemed to play Titleist equipment recently so he may have been a staffer in the past, but he's not anymore because on Titleist's website he's only listed as a ball player.

I agree it does sort of look like the Nike VR Pro's Compression Channel. I hit the Nike with a Project X shaft in it at a demo day a few years ago and it was a bomber (I just couldn't fit it into my budget at the time). I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on one of these - with the surefit system I might just find my next driver. Presently I'm doing the lefty twin 3 metal thing with a 13.5 & a 15 and it's working for me... Here's to the future!
