Wearing a watch during golf???

I was wondering how many people wear a watch while they play golf. I have been wearing a watch the last couple rounds. However I tried wearing it on each wrist in the 2 rounds. The left wrist (the one with the glove) feels worse than the right one.

Just curious which wrist u wear ur watch on, if any at all. Thanks.

Only time I don't wear my wrist watch is when I golf. Causes too much tension when moving my wrist around - although this could possibly help my cupping of the wrist lol.

If I were to wear a GPS watch, it'd be on my opposite wrist (right hand) where the glove isn't in the way.

The only time I wear a watch these days is when I play. It's a GPS watch. Otherwise, I'm content with my cel phone.

I've also tried to wear one of my watches while playing , can't do it. Just don't feel right. I guess if I continued to practice and game with it on it would t be so awkward. Wifey got me one of those ionic bracelets that I do wear sometimes with no issues.

I wear a watch. Leather band on the non-glove hand. I like to be able to glance at it incessantly as I profanely complain about slow play, and "Where the hell is the beverage cart."

A watch really adds credibility.

I used to wear a watch. Never took it off. But after a hefty repair bill no longer do. I'm convinced automatic/wound watches are not meant to take the shock on a continuous basis.

I used to wear a watch (left hand on a lefty) but not anymore. More so to get rid of the bad tan than anything. It never bothered me.

Big watch fan here, but see absolutely no benefit to wearing one during golf. I want to be as unencumbered as possible on the course.

haha I was in the same boat... Wore a Baume and Mercier to golf in for a season or two... a $900 repair bill later that lesson was learned. I have a couple of quartz watches that I wear sometime when playing still. Anymore its just because I forgot to take them off and was too lazy once I noticed.

I wear a GPS watch. I don't even notice wearing it other than the benefit of looking down and immediately seeing my FMB yardages.

I've always worn a watch on my left wrist but never while playing golf. Last year I got a GPS watch and the thing is so light I wear it during a round and don't realize its on. What I did this year to eliminate the golfers wrist tan was to attach the watch to the top of my golf bags strap hook so I can easily see it when walking or riding. Only downside is if I'm riding and it might be a yard or two off when at a par 3 tee box.

Also found the shock to mess with the internals of a perpetual motion watch. Years ago quit all jewerly, but always get in trouble for forgetting to put wedding ring back on...years at a time. A couple of tasteful chains is ok in my book, rocking a heavy figeroa link for 20 years/ I'm sure it will be back in style sometime soon.

Always wear a watch and especially when I'm golfing. Feels odd without it so I just have always played golf with one. Used to take off the wedding ring too, until I lost it, but don't anymore.

I was told not to wear one, it's too much G force for it... It's an auto winding Rolex and the watch maker said not to?

I've started wearing a GPS watch recently. Took some getting used to, but ultimately no problems on the course. Wear it on my left wrist.

SOmetimes i'll do it because I forgot to take it off. Doesn't bother me with it on. LEather strap on my glove hand, no issues. I like the way it looks but prefer to take it off to prevent a watch tan and to protect the watch from wear/sweat etc

I have tried to play with a watch. Just doesn't feel right, but I'm the type of guy who feels uncomfortable playing golf with keys or a wallet in my pocket

I wear my watch when I play golf. Rarely, if ever, take it off at any time. I used to take it off and put it in my golf bag back when I carried my clubs (before the stand bags). My bag fell over and hit something chipping the edge of the crystal. The cost of the new crystal and having it resealed...I decided to just leave it on when playing. Never had a problem, still keeps excellent time after 28 years.

i have tried, but i cant quite get comfortable when the little nub of the watch digs into me.
