Tiger Woods WITB and more from Tuesday at the 2014 Quicken Loans National

Surprised to see the PXi shaft in his 2 or 3 iron. Doesn't seem like the type of thing he would use. Also, I don't recall from previous WITB's his putter having a sound slot, lead tape, or a sight dot. I thought it was just a sight line and then nothing special.

He's been gone for awhile & had plenty of time to tinker & experiment with what I'm sure is a endless supply of clubs. I'm sure he could play whatever he wants but prefers results over aesthetics.

Fixed it,

My point is, the Method was, if I understand it right, a rebadged TW SC, made by Nike, to Tiger's exact specs. Yet, he seems to have a hard time with his putting ever since he switched to a Nike, from the very beginning. And now, he's obviously tinkering with this one.

Whether it's the lead tape and/or the "faux grooves". I wonder if the Ping grip was replaced by a Nike as well.

No Majors with it yet, but he won 5 times last year with that Method putter. Don't think he's having a hard time with that.

If he is, it has to be "faux grooves".

Nike reps said that once Tiger tried the VR_S forged long iron he realized that he liked it and that is was truly easier to hit than a muscle back long iron so he has had a VR_S forged long iron in his bag for a while. If you look at some of Tiger's previous WITB photos you will see the VR_S forged in there.

Yea but I doubt the average wrx'er is anything close to the ball striker.

Tiger has always had the pxi in his driving iron. Additionally, putter has always had different amounts of lead tape depending on green speed and what you think is a sound slot is actually where the polymer is injected into the face. Sight dot is normal as well, had it on his Cameron and stock 001's have it as well.

I didn't refute any if that I was just saying he's probably had a lot if time to tinker. But if you wanna get technical his longest iron (driving iron) hasn't always had a pxi.

Back at the 2014 Farmers Insurance Open. He had 103 in his driver and fairways. Since he's back into swinging normal-ish again, and first time back into competition, looks like he took 10 grams off his driver shaft.
