I saw a quick swing video of TW this morning with his new MusclePharm bag. Solid black with green lettering. Same green as yesterday's shoes. I'm sure some photos will be posted later.

It's the new SD. They released a 40mm version this year at Basel.

Until I hit the Covert it always surprises me to see Tiger play the fairway woods. Cavity back woods, red on top, from a guy who played some of the purest looking fairway woods around for years from bore thru PTs to the LTD. Well, having played and bagged the Covert I get it. I was wondering if he plays the 1.0 version, or the proto version that is a 2.0 that looks like a 1.0 ala Rory?
I believe it is the proto that is basically what they used to make the 2.0 this year. The "1.0" driver that he played last year was basically the 2.0 only without the added "stabilizing" section that is white in the 2.0. Personally I love all the Covert woods, though I still play the 1.0 tour fairway, with the Fuji 8.2 I get a pretty darn good ball flight which makes it hard to switch.
I also love the Coverts. The 2.0 CP has been the most versatile 3 wood for me yet. Nice trajectory and distance off the tee but still very playable off the deck.

there is definitely a 5 wood in there too with the long iron. 5 wood is his go to, I don't see him leaving it at home.

always wondered why he hasn't tired KBS c taper or PX shafts...
i have the Covert Performance 1.0 tour issue woods that Tiger, Rory, and most if the other guys have. They are much different from the standard Covert Performance 1.0 and 2.0 heads. Shape is more similar to the Vr Pros, size comparable to Covert 1.0. Flight is similar to Vr Pro, but a smudge easier to hit off the deck, and mor forgiving

Definitely the new SD. You can see the release valve on the left side in one of the pics. It's also pretty evident by the size on his wrist.

I played the tour only long hosel SQII for years but have never heard rumors of a different Covert fairway head, only that there was a proto of the 2.0 that looked like the 1.0

I also owned a Covert 1.0 5 wood that was straight from Patrick Reed's bag. Didn't notice a difference from retail other than the serial number.

Greg, any sense of whether the wedges are longer than standard? The Excel spreadsheet of his specs from 2012 listed his PW the same length as his 9 iron, and I've always wondered if he also played his SW and LW long.

I wonder if Tiger had to wait 4-6 weeks for his Nike id TW'14 to arrive...
4-6 hours.
I would probably take the under on that timeframe... Toby probably stitched them up for him while he was on the phone with Steiny placing the order
I'll go one step further... They had several options already made up & he picked these.

That driver shaft.......
No kidding... 93x Blueboard... That's a man shaft!

He should go back to the X100 steel shaft, not much difference lol
The old steel driver shaft was not really a Dynamic Gold X100 as people were led to believe. The stepdowns were spaced a little closer. True Temper designed and made that shaft for him. Butch showed it to me and told me about it. He introduced me to Adam Scott at Rio Secco and Adam was using it at that time also, but Adam had to get TW's permission for TT to give one to him. Of course they were both working with Butch
then. I watched Butch working with Adam for quite a while and frankly I thought Adam hit the ball with too much drift with it. Interestingly there was just the three of there late that afternoon. We putted for a period also.

In the bag: Playing --- TaylorMade  Qi 10 (core) driver w/Fujikura Ventus Blue 6S. 3wd TM (OG) SIM (special smaller tour only head, same that TW was playing prior to the '24 Genesis approx 160cc) @ 15.*) with Fujikura Ventus 7-S.  5 wd TM SIM w/Fujikura Speeder 857TR-S (Japan made)

Black covert only comes in Performance model....

But......He is Tiger Woods, so he could probably get anything type of club, color or anything else he wanted.

I am sure he doesn't mind the red, only a color. Also, whole Nike Golf line is based on red. Victory Red.

You're thinking of the DSSD, which is 44mm...

Basel 2014 - Rolex introduced the the SD4000, with the 40mm supercase — same size as the Sub. Check the photo and the Rolex link below. I'm seeing the helium gas escape valve on the case side. Also, I don't see the date cyclops...

The watch was just released in the last few weeks. Makes sense he'd get an early release.

Well Tiger oughta get first dibs on a new Rolex model.

How about the above poster catching Tiger's weak grip and then TW mentioning it during the post round??? That's either a damn good catch by a GolfWrx'er or Proof that Tiger really does lurk this forum.

New grips for Tiger? Saw some pics on PGAtour.com and they don't look like the trusty old tour velvet cords he always has used. White end cap maybe and a blueish color? Am I seeing things or did he make a change there?

those of you who weren't fans of his neon shoes will be disappointment cuz he wore them again today. I kinda like it, not the neon color but the fact that he's wearing something other than plain stock shoes. If he could just find some nice ID's somewhere in between the two it would work
