I don't care that I'm not good enough for true blades. Having clubs built by the same guys at The Oven that build clubs for the big boys, that's awesome. They could've easily priced them at 2k+ and sold out in less than 15 minutes.

SUCH a cool idea Nike. Talk about a great way to pre-release some new irons.

The fairways that Tiger is using are the prototypes for this years fairways. Same design as last years but the newer technology from this years.

Blown away that Nike is releasing irons like this (in a good way). Very cool for them to do this, Cameron can't be the only one to capitalize on tour issue club demand. They should do this often like the TMaG Vault. I just REALLY hope they release more than 40 Rory 006's when and if they come out because that would be really hard to get.

Pretty cool deal Nike has going on for these. Used to bag all Nike but it was tough being LH with the limited options they had/have. Still great deal for the RH golfers who want Oven customization.

Yeah, I think they will go quick as well, it even says that deal only lasts till 4pm.

I want to get all the info I can, prior to buying it. So I get a good chance of getting a set.

Didn't this year's use flywire? Not saying that you're wrong...but it would make more sense that Tiger is just using last year's model cause he likes it better, rather than then creating a model that looks like last year's, but is designed like this year's. Call me crazy.

To be clear, I feel I should preface this. I've never once really considered owning a Nike club, never saw much in them for me... now factor in that I have not purchased or played a "different" set of irons for the past 15 years, I have well over 700 rounds on my current gamer irons. Now, with all that being said I am SERIOUSLY considering pulling the funds for a set of these, calling out of work and seeing if I can procure a set on release day. They look fantastic, and adding in the whole buying experience and exclusivity is really peaking my interest. I'm off to seriously contemplate stuff, guess I have a few days.

To anyone else who is considering them and posting here, I guess we may be going up against one another to get at one of the 40 sets. Best of luck to all involved!

This quote says it all, I have never been a huge Nike fan, thought the blades by titleist and mizuno we far superior, but this has me thinking hard. Glad I did not go with the new Mp-4 yet, this may have to go for a test drive. Hope they feel as good as they look, this is simply a gorgeous club. Well done Nike.

These are just dead sexy. Love the modern design mixed with a traditional look at address. I was think the upcoming Srixon's were the best looking but I think they have been upstaged. If these come out as is, they will be 99% perfect. If they include a matching gap wedge...100%.

Is there any more information on the reason behind the design of this club? There seems to be a lot more weight on the Toe side of the club and traditional blades have always had the bulk of the mass in the center of the back (MP4) or at least evenly spaced across the back (714 MB, TP MB). With Rory playing a Draw and Tiger playing a Cut I'm wondering how their swings affected this design and how it benefits them. I know the folks at The Oven are big on engineering so I'm assuming there's some new type of benefit to the design.

Flywire??!! We aren't talking shoes here. We are talking the fairway metals, they have no flywire. The fairways he has in his bag are FROM last year when they were designing the new fairways for this year. They were built as prototypes and they are the exact same construction technology wise as the 2.0 fairways built this year. They are basically masked because they didn't want to let the cat out of the bag that they were prototyping a new fairway so early into the life of the 1.0.

The new MP-4 is an amazing iron, I just have to say that first as I'm almost to my first full year with them. However, the VR Tour blades from about 5 years ago or so were every bit as good as the Mizuno MP-68 irons and much better than the Titleist blades at the time. So I'm surprised you didn't feel that way about them then. If you hit the current blades there is not a competitor for them besides Mizuno. The top two companies that I look at for forgings at this point are Mizuno and Nike.

P.S. This blade does not look to be as tough to hit. They appear to be perimeter weighted to add to MOI on a blade iron. I think these are somewhat revolutionary in the golf industry at this time. We will have to wait for comparisons, marketing to be released, players to start bagging them that previously were using pro combo, etc. in order to truly know for sure. But I don't think these are a run of the mill blade design at all.

Interesting specs, particularly the stock length...appears to be 1/2" over what is now "standard".

Haven't bought a set of Nike's since 2009 (VR blade/split set) but I was able to get those 4* up; seems odd these max out at 2* up being they're forged as well, no? I'd be more inclinded to fight for a set if I knew I could get them to my required specs.

Beat me to it. I think he was asking about nexcor, which the 1.0 fairways did not have but the 2.0 fairways now do. Tiger's does as well.
