Tomorrow is the day!! Tomorrow is the end of the wager and my first round back on the course in about 6 weeks. Here's hoping you guys survive the next 24 hours ... and my shoulder holds up for the 5 hours of golf tomorrow.

After tomorrow we can talk about what you all went nuts and bought, and we can see if there will be a new wager.

I was actually thinking about starting a new one sometime today to signal the end of the wager. I wasn't going to close this one or anything, I mean it did turn out to be the second most posted in thread in the entire equipment section lol. But Im not sure exactly how to do this, I never imagined this thing getting this big.

To close it I think you would just send a "Report" button to the mods and request it be closed. Regardless, I think it would be good to amend post 1 and refer them to the new wrap-up thread. I'll go to the wrap-up thread now. Cheers guys.

There is ONE LAST loophole you fellas have to figure out. If it's 12:00 AM tomorrow in Newfoundland - can Pige pull the trigger??? Or does he have to wait until it's 12:00 for all in the wager???

I'm about to start an "Ouch! What happened to my game??" thread after today. Played the front in 43 and just unable to get anything going. 1 par (#6) and one birdie (#3, reached in 2 and 2 putted from about 12 feet), and then everything else was a bogey or double. Backside... don't know what changed but played 10-15 in -1 ... and then promptly went bogie-bogie-bogie to finish on a nasty, swirling windy day. You know if isn't your day when you pull hook a 6 iron from 170 and end up LONG AND LEFT (by 35 yards) on 18. Just no love... but at least I didn't lose a ball today and I didn't hurt anything!

... I won't say what said score will do to my 'cap in the morning, but I will change it up on here once it hits.

In bonus plus news, Callaway just contacted me and I should have a limited edition Masters coin coming soon! Now, if only I could find a job... gotta pay for golf and bills somehow.

Well, if anyone is feeling generous, the MP54s just reasserted themselves. I tried them in C Taper Lite 110 and hit them well. I'm digging this combination but will compare it to the VPCs and I25s, of course, all with either the C T Lite or my current KBS Tours.

Feeling like the swing is close to where it needs to be. Feeling... siiiiiiiiiiiiiigh... relaxed.



Now DRIVER is a totally different story, LOL. Old swing habits die hard.

Thank you Michael. Followed the round with 82 today on a different, sopping wet course. No real uglies on the card, but nothing spectacular either. The round was similar to Gaucho's experience yesterday. Couldn't get the job done around the greens, but my ball striking was solid. I'll take what I can get. 79 and 82 on two tracks that challenge me is a really good start to my season. Probably my best start in 17 years. I want to let go of my outcome fixation and focus a bit more on the process of playing good golf

Kidding aside, I went to my senior men's club social last night and a couple of guys pounced on me to see what I had acquired for this year. It was a bit embarrassing actually...reputation precedes etc.

Not here, I've found a 48* sm4 on ebay I may snag but that's pretty much it so far. I like everything that I have right now better than anything else I've tried or looked at so far. Sure I could get "newer" clubs but there not going to make me any better of a golfer, the ones I have now work just fine. Heck, I haven't even received my Titleist adapters yet to build the fairways and hybrid I got awhile back yet lol.

I ordered 3 Wishon 560 mid irons from Kadin last week and today is pay day. I won't receive the clubs for a few weeks. Nothing is really going to move in my bag for the foreseeable future once the irons and Machine putter arrive on my door step. A good feeling Gaucho.

Well in just made my first official post wager purchase, a Callaway FT Optiforce 460 head. I've already got the 440 and like it and have been wanting to try the 460 for a long time.
