Use to be a Bubba fan until I saw how he acts during a golf tournament or even practice rounds of a golf tournaments. I'm mostly responding so I can check out the videos later tonight.

It's not like it's a dunk contest, it's a hole that requires you to hit a driver and the PGA just happens to be measuring for a contest. The fact that Bubba hit an iron just to thumb his nose at the whole thing is a joke. I hate Bubba and his attitude. Wish more guys were like Adam Scott and Justin Rose

Bubba sure seems like he just tries his best to slap the PGA and the fans in the face. Just hugely disrespectful in todays press conference. All he had to do was take an easy driver swing and everyone would be happy. But now its nothing but negativity since he tried to "prove a point".

This makes him look even worse once I saw how they set it up. It's just during a normal practice round, and Bubba refuses to hit driver when everyone damn well knows he will hit driver every day during the tournament. It would be one thing if it was set up somewhere else and he just didn't go and hit one, but he could have played this like normal practice and hit driver. I'm not sure what point he was trying to make but the guy could do a lot for himself if he didn't take himself so seriously.

That's probably exactly what Bubba is thinking right now.

It's like he's afraid if he misses it and "only" hits it 302 that it will reflect badly on him. Real golfers understand one shot is a total crapshoot for long drive. Heck, who would have thought Fowler would stand in second at 328? Makes Bubba look a lot worse the way he handled it then if he would have popped one up 280 yards.

No tour player, much less Bubba, should have to accommodate spectator wishes. If a few others accommodate the animals, fine, that's their choice That in no way suggests you are entitled to think your wishes should be met. That alone is disturbing.

The other point in using 'hacks'; typically, they don't think about course mgt. If the range and all my playing experience has been any indicator, all they care about is hitting driver as hard as possible, no matter where it might land or resulting score. As you know, Bubba and every other guy out there plays golf for a living; they have to maintain, some more than others.

Wishing he hit driver and then calling him names or insulting him, for not granting the entitled mind, his wish, in my estimation, is sorry behavior.

I disagree. Their whole stupid job is to entertain fans. If the fans didn't exist they would be working normal jobs living normal lives. Pro golf adds nothing to society. It's a frivolous profession they are lucky enough to get paid millions to do. There are moments you have to give back to the fans like this one. It would be different if it was during a tournament round, but it's Tuesday, fans pay good money to watch them practice, stop being a baby and hit a driver.
