Amazed at the positive comments this disgusting piece of kit is getting

Maybe at the grand age of 28 I am past it and now a bitter old traditionalist who wishes they'd release classy clubs, only titleist do It these days

Not a fan of Nike but and I normally do not buy a club based on looks but I would definitely try this out.... if it comes in all black, I would be tempted.

I see three as well. Two with the flex loft, one of which has a volt channel and one with a black channel. The third is glued.

Happy to see the flex loft staying.

That is a lot of volt.

Money- when is nike going to announce the custom colors for the irons? Is that real?

The metal wood series rounds out the Vapor line, and lessens the graphic shock factor of the irons. If you are attracted to the irons, these will likely not offend. Not for me but the kids are going to love it. Can you imagine the level of shock if Nike introduced the whole line same-day, vs. a staggered release?

The Vapor channel validates the Titleist decision to add a channel as a valid feature to the 915 series.

It appears to me that Nike has gone down the path that TMAG did a few years ago. 3-4 years ago Nike was borderline Titliest, they had very pure looking players clubs with no gimmicks, they packed technology into a traditional look. Then they wen't red, performance wasn't the same, then they wen't red again and quickly, now they are going neon green, basically the only color brighter than red. Yes there might be technology and for all I know the club might perform as good as anything, but the green is there to be seen on TV. I remember reading some posts a few weeks ago about how Nike did studies of what portions of the club is seen most on TV and that's where the green will be. The whole damn bottom of the club is green. Basically three years in a row now Nike is not even a viable option for me in regards to woods because of the red and now green. Titliest, TMAG and Callaway are my only options for woods this coming year, maybe Cobra, but certainly not Nike,

All companies are going to have something to visually differeniate themselves from others in-hand and on television.

Titleist isn't putting a white starshot on a black background for sh*ts and giggles or any performance related reasons:

e33f0807467c1def89806e961e4f4959.jpg

Cobra doesn't have to use bright colors or a visible honeycomb pattern.

By your definition, these would be "gimmicks," just as much as the Volt colorway is.

I can understand if you don't like the color, but they are doing the same thing everyone else is, just to a different degree.

Agreed...each brand has to have some type/form of design to differentiate their product.

It looks more like their Venom Green color instead of the Volt color

That being said, I like it...if I was in the market for a driver I would test it for sound & dispersion of my drives

I am just very happy with the performance of my Titleist 910 D3 and need a replacement for my 12 yr old 822 OS irons more than a new driver

Looking forward to testing the Vapor PC against the AP2's this winter so I can come out swinging next year

No way traditionalist TW plays this sucker.
I'd put money on him playing it. It has a black crown, and he had no problem switching to the red covert.
No problem at all, other than the fact I think he hit 3 fairways. This year.
You're right. Must have been the drivers fault. Rory was awful with it too.

Love the responses from the negative posters when not one picture of the crown is out. Who cares what the bottom looks like? If you don't like the bottom, which you'll never see when you swing, then there's several other companies to buy from.

Just like the Nike vapor irons, this color non sense will blow over.

TW is going to love the new Vapors, they're his ticket to 19 majors. Or the coveted trophy from the Tostitos Open. It will be easier to see by the marshals... when he uses it to point left after hitting his drive into the trees.

Rory's Irish, green is their national color I think.

It may be the camera angle but it looks like the cavity isnt centered and looks to be more mass in the toe....that would fall in line with what their line of thinking with the 2.0 sweet spot as well as the current iron tech. could be an illusion, who knows.

outside of that, these are as BOLD as they get. I fear that if I dont hit it well, my group will have my a@@ so I better get fitted and it MUST perform. It is making my matte cover look like a traditional titleist. reshaft the covert or buy the Vapor? Decisions;)

The shaft is normally the same as what's in the graphite irons so I suspect the non tour driver will have the Fubuki Z shaft as it's stock offering.

The tech on this is really intriguing. I think this might be the best Nike driver performance wise. I knew they were going to try and combine the techs and bring the compression channel back, but wasn't sure how it would look. I like the tech, but I do not like the color. I can't wait to test and see what it can really do.
