Could that thing be any uglier? Are they kidding with the fluorescent color scheme and cutaways? This is worse than the Sasquatch from a few years ago. I'll hold judgement until I see it in person but not too sure about this one.

They weren't handing out too many details unfortunately....

But did say they felt like the new drivers were a significant upgrade to the Covert 2.0 line...Not just a makeover. 100% new product.

If its mostly black on top why would you care what the bottom looks like? So many posers on this site with staff bags and $90 golf shirts. If it performs why would care? I care about two things, performance and confidence with it in my hands. I am not a fan of the red on my CT 2.0 but its the best driver i've ever hit so i got over it in about 5 minutes. Gotta love all the guys playing graphite shafts in irons and titanium faced 3 woods crying about being "traditional" and "pure".

I can honestly say i do not even see the white swoosh on my CT 2.0 looking down at it b/c if you were looking at the part of the head you are already dead in the water. They could make it hot fuschia and i wouldnt care.

Man and this is you HOLDING judgement? I kid, but two things I think all forumites should consider when looking at this thread/scoping the pics:

1.) The picture isn't exactly of the highest quality, and I'm sure that the color isn't as loud or brash looking as everyone thinks in person. As a matter of fact, it might just be that the picture overall and everything surrounding the volt (dark grass background, rest of the club is black) that's making it jump out that much more.

2.) Volt is closer to neon yellow than green. When I think of green, I think peas. This looks nothing like a pea.

If it performs, I'm open to it. Granted, I may be biased because volt or neon yellow/electric yellow has been my favorite color since I was 7, but even still. My experiece with the CT 2.0 was that the head felt like it weighed a ton and I couldn't consistently hit it more than 20 ft in the air. Obviously, I would need to be fit into it for it to work, but I'll see how this feels when it comes out.

I have to step in and say this as well. If there is a compression channel on top of the club I will not consider buying. I may hit it and even if it were to hit it straighter than my CT2.0, there is no way I would replace it with a channel on top. That may sound weird but I cannot do it. Other than that I still can't wait to hit it and see what it looks like in person. The Covert looks WAY better in person than on pictures.

I am very intrigued by the combination of my two favorite Nike techs in the channel and the cavity. I think this thing could be seriously good, but I cannot wait to see it in person and judge then. I will say I am very nervous that they have over done the color (which I am not a big fan of) and the tech.

I wonder how many of the people that like this club like it because they are fans of Nike and are just blinded from brand loyalty at this point? I am one of the biggest Nike fans, my closet is full of the swoosh, but this VOLT thing has gone way overboard. Comparing the VOLT to, silver on the 915 or to custom options that Cobra offers is apples to doorknobs. Cobra used orange to market Fowler, the same as Nike did for TW. Cobra also offers 4-5 other colors so you can get what you want. Nike is offering VOLT on basically every product that they make, I refused to buy Nike running shoes the other day because in wide they only offered VOLT. Imagine if Puma offered everything that they make in Fowler orange? [/color][/size]

I've got the same issue, Titleist & Ping both use Nike's empty air for performance weighting. For Nike I suspect it's about adding color, marketing color, Volt color, not about performance improvement. They dropped the highly regarded Covert VR_S Forged irons after a New York minute for the same reason.
