It was not the best of days for our golf game at the Mid-am today for the ATMG gang, but we had fun!

If I can get my irons to not be pull hooks, things could have been better today. Drove the ball pretty well and putted solid. 80 today - goal is to break 70 tomorrow and at least finish better than 160 - my last finish at the Mid-Am.

Heather was tough today with lots of rain. It played pretty long.

I drove the ball terribly, putted worse, and hit my irons great. 39 putts. I repeat, 39 putts. That adds up to 82, which makes me want to punch something.

It's amazing how the same person can play golf completely differently from one day to the next. Today, instead of snap hooking half of my drivers, I didn't miss a fairway with it all day, and if it wasn't for a few loose iron shots, I could have put up a really good number. As it was, I shot 74, so I feel a lot better about the whole thing than I did yesterday.

It is also amazing on how poorly I hit my irons yesterday, they were the highlight today. I hit 14 greens in route to 78 - I could not get a birdie putt to drop. I played the first 11 almost perfect with 10 GIR and was only +1, but fell apart the last 7 with a ball in the water off the tee, a ball OB off the tee, two three putts, and a missed two footer for birdie.

38 putts today for me 3JP!

And it's the right colors! I need to strip the paint off the head of mine, because the yellow shaft with the little bit of blue on the driver head makes me want to puke.

The Lamkin green grip with Tour Green shaft and white Cobra head looks great to me. Perhaps its why it works so well.

Nice, congrats. I had my best driving week with the LST so far and shot 3 73's. It's becoming a cult at my club, 75% of the single digit caps are using g30 with most being LST and I'm noticing better driving out of everyone.

Got the opportunity to play Fieldstone today with larrybud, hoganfan924 and mags300. Great time, played not too bad actually. Course was quite wet. Made for some long second shots. Arthur Hills design that did nothing to change my opinion of his designs, which is quite high. Definitely a course you need to play once or twice to get real comfortable with it.
