Had my order in for the $257 set. Canceled and bought the $209 lol. Another thread is saying that maybe Adams is trying to clear out inventory and using Amazon to do it. I don't care as long as I get them

Yes, CMBs. Looking at it in my iPhone. On the screen where it says "New (2) from $209.69". Right below that it has "About this Item" and a description.

I just saw this as well. I then looked at the invoice and it says the condition is new. Thanks for pointing this out though cause I was ready to cancel my order, but I'll give it a chance and see what comes to my doorstep. I can always return if I dont want them or if they come in as a used set.

LONG POST: Sorry but wanted people to know what I learned.

Once I ordered like many I was wondering if this was a real deal....First... a Thank You should go out to Warrick if you wanted these irons as it appears to be legit. [i](That is if it all works out as Amazon is telling me IF not we can blame Warrick JK...hahaha[/i])

Talking with CS at Amazon it appears to be a legit deal. I spoke with a Amazon CS manager 20 mins ago ([i]very nice and helpful lady[/i]) She explained they are new and that it is a "contracted" order that Amazon has with ADMAS golf for this product. Apparently ADAMS is closing the CMB's out ([i]it [i]has [/i]been 2 years on the irons I think....so longer than TM models.... dooohhhh [/i]) and they are dumbing the product cheap. Amazon made a large purchase contract.

[i]* She would not tell me how many exactly but she did say it was more than a 1 but less than a 1000 LOL Once it is not listed then the amount ordered is gone.[/i]

I asked how purchasers can be reassured that ADAMS does not "flak" out. She explained how the amazon policy / contract order works with manufactures (to long to explain...). I asked why the fast price drop in a day? She noted that is typically because it did not sell out as fast as amazon thought. So say they bought 500 sets... well it did not even get close in day one/two they drop the price. Basically she made it sound like this is not a high rate of profit for Amazon... just a quick flip deal with seller they do a lot of business with.

[i]For those wondering... she noted if AMAZON did not have it under "contract" for an exact amount of sets with Adams it would be listed as "subject to availability" and "subject to cancellation". For what that is worth.[/i]

On a note for those who bought at the 259 price call Amazon and price match. They allow once a month to price match. Since it dropped to 209 they will adjust your order to that price...if you have not done a price match in the first 3 days of April already LOL.

I bought them at 259...she priced matched to 209... minus $40 for just getting their credit card... [b]169[/b] for the set.... crazy. Lets hope Adams follow through.

Amazon informed me they are NEW from Adams. Their contract is directly with Adams Golf. So the one aspect I wondered. I recall some of the CMB's getting hairline cracks on the hosels. Wonder if these are sets that Adams got back, refinished and are selling again? I would not think so but who knows.

Think the 2 represents number of seller options, not quantity. Quantity on Amazon is typically shown in a much bolder fashion directly under the price. I may be missing something though.

Amazon told me they do not GET the irons per the contract until those dates.... THEN amazon still has to ship them. It could a week after those dates for those who ordered.

I mulled over the CMB deal for about 2 hours this morning....I apparently blacked out then when I awoke with my credit card in my hand and a receipt for Adams CMB on my laptop. I think I am sick guys.

I promise you guys will not be disappointed in the CMB heads. Whether the shafts work for you or not is a different story, but the heads are fantastic.

CT are stiffer, according to fitter when he removed them from my irons and checked cpm's. I would have to agree with him, why do you suppose Adams is dumping the inventory?
