Just picked up a set of Engage wedges and gave them the gun blue treatment.

What bluing product did you use? I'd be interested in going this route to avoid the trust.

yeah, the new staff bag, it's probably because of the angle or I got a knockoff!! :)

Just got a brand new set of forged VR Pro Combos and two Engage wedges (58 square and 60 Toe Sweep)

 

Absolutely love the irons and wedges. Wedges are fantastic. They seem to chew up balls though. Irons feel amazing when hit flush, just as good as the Mizuno MP25s and Bridgestone J15s I tried a while back. Only draw back is off center hits come up waaaaay short.

 

Love my Cobra Fly Z so I'll probably stick with it for a while...must....avoid testing....Nike Fly....drivers.

 

I will be buying an engage gap wedge though.

 

I game the same irons. Have you noticed how this set of irons is shorter in length than most sets out there? Each club is about .25 inches shorter than most.

 

I have these irons, too. They're definitely ~1\4" shorter. I love them though, best irons I've ever hit. Being short probably has something to do with it. I tend to hit these on the sweetspot more than other irons I've owned.

My own custom Lunar 4s done by my niece who's 15. I gave her the white pair and said she had an open canvas to do what she wanted. I just said "yellow, red and the Terps" :taunt:

I "think" I like the fact that they are about 1/4" short. I'm 5'10 so it's not a huge issue. I do hit the sweetspot more though. Only problem is, if I don't down completely through the shot, and I mean completely, I get it a little thin. Not a skull but not the greatest trajectory.

Thanks man - I'm real happy with how they turned out and was surprised how easy it was to remove the PVD. Still trying to figure out if I want to keep the black paintfill lines or not...

I've definitely trended more to thin shots as my mishit with these. But those misses just fly a little low but end up about the right distance. Not the best feeling shot, but very forgiving for a miss. I've yet to hit a fatty with them. I'll take thin over fat everytime!

Hey guys posted this in the tour and pre release thread and thought I'd have better luck here. After holding out a year, I am finally considering updating my bag with new woods. I play the CT 2.0. I sometimes struggle turning it over from time to time, but I love the sound and feel. How does the vapor pro stack up to those who have gamed both? Is the vapor pro more forgiving you think? How does the flex fairway stack up to the CT 2.0 fairway? Any thoughts are much appreciated! Thanks guys

Never owned Vapor Pro but hit it quite abit and it's much easier to turn over and far more forgiving than ct2 in driver...

I have a set 3-PW of Nike VR Forged Pro Combos CB (2011) w/ Project X 6.5. No shaft labels which look soooo clean. Golf pride full cord ribber grips. Used clubs but still great - would still be using them if I didn't have the VPC.
