Putter feel is so personal. I personally love the original Method feel and like them much more than the Origin. Nothing against the Origin - very solid putters, but I like the feel of putting with a milled face and have more success with it.

Don’t they both have milled faces?

Yes, but the Origin uses the RZN material very differently and in larger quantities. Apparently they vary the thickness (and consequently the responsiveness off the face) from the center to the sides which changes the feel.

While faces are both milled, I feel like the Method face is closer to a traditional milled face feel with the RZN in the background. The origin to me feels like a hybrid between a milled face and an insert face.

Again, nothing against it if that works for you or you like it. I have both and game both from time to time. Just like the original Method more.

No, I’m not trying to argue at all and I agree that everyone sees and feels things differently! I was simply replying to confirm that the origins have milled faces

Do the serial numbers for the method that start with “CA†are for general release putters? Even my MMPROTO irons start with CA.

My Rory 006 and Rory method origin both start with CA.

I have two Oven protos - one is a naked, plumbers neck, NP shape. The other is a NP2 head with a flow neck, also naked. Both have the milled faces with the black resin behind the face and “Oven” on the soles. And love the fact that they both don’t have any slight line, etc.

Will try and share pics later this week.

So I pulled the trigger on one of these from Dallas Golf, super excited because i have always wanted to try an origin, but never got along with plumber neck putters. The picture of the one I ordered had no sight line, which was no biggie it was a fantastic price. I was going to use pinstripe tape if I needed. It arrived and lo and behold! A sight line! A nice surprise for sure since the other I was looking at on eBay was like 300 bucks, and I didn't think a sight line was worth that much extra lol!

The interesting thing about this one is there is no Nike stamping on the neck, anyone have a slant neck that does not have the neck stamp either? Obviously I'm not upset about it, was just surprised as it took me 5 mins or so of playing around to notice it! Curious as to if it was a player request and it never made it into play or what the story was!

Either way next weeks round can't come soon enough!

I’m tempted to get one myself along with the B1-01 i already have. I’d prefer nonsightline or at least a top line sight line instead of the stock they have.

They are beautiful in hand I have to say!

And I'm sure if you just sent them an email they would be able to help you or with that, smooth transaction with them and everything. I was kind of excited at the idea of tinkering with tape sight lines to see what works, but I'm just happy to be in the origin club finally ?

Those are absolute beauties. Never gamed a method but life might force me to sell my Scotty CT. A close friends swears by his oven slant neck. Great value too, these will be on my short list!

If only the deep mill was on the black putter. I really like the deep milled look, just dont like the initials in the front

Same. I have yet to own a deep milled method. Just the usual one.

I like the deep milled looks. Probably performs better as well.

Just bought a used Method Matter M4-10 center-shafted putter.

Anyone still using one or have experience with one?

I had one for about a week. It was a nice putter. The balance was good and I did pretty well with it when practicing. I returned it because I couldn't justify the purchase at the time. It made a strange noise though. I have a Matter B2-01 that makes a nice 'tock' when well struck. I was expecting the same out of this one, but it was more of a 'ping', which made it feel a bit harder than my B2-01. I guess that's just because its center shafted.
