Man it's been slow in here the last couple of days.

 

GTT: Why has it been slow in here the last couple of days?

 

I'm hoping a lot of people were out golfing or doing golf related activities.

 

Shopping is a golf-related activity? After flipping the Evnroll last week I picked up a Fubuki K to try and a Callaway UT 18*. This is my 2nd go round trying a driving iron, I give its time in my bag slightly more than the Evnroll.

What didn't you like about the evnroll, DC?

 

Thought it was decent, liked the way the head sat but the grooves I thought were just OK. I have a handful of old Yes putters that just IMO roll the ball just as well if not better - and sounded better too. Its all opinion though right, a lot of reviewers seem to think its the next great thing. Thankfully with the Discount Dans price it was an easy BST sell. Seriously though if you're not emailing these guys before buying a new club then you love just spending extra money.

The minority show down matches should be good (THDC, Eagle, Boogs, CFree). That group is also setting the line for grimiest discussions of the day, for sure. I also always look forward to hearing the results of the FAbb/Alan match, which has been pretty good over the years.

Why---- They are a bunch of spoiled brats who make way too much money early. The tour is full of freeloaders just making a living and don't care about winning.

I don't see anyone right now with the Tiger type attitude "I just want to win and win them all" Back in the mid to early 90's they were saying the same song and dance as how "There is too many good players for just one to stand out". Then along comes Tiger and beats the pants off everyone. They are saying the same crap how. I simply believe someone will step up and lead the way again. I really wish the tour would go back to 60 spot exempt. This list of 155 exempt has created a bunch of players just making a living. At 60 they would all have to try to win.

I saved my SC and plan on writing up an entire NE CP review. Until then, this will have to suffice. I hit driver 3 times through 18 holes.

I personally think the money is going to start going the other way. Isn't this what people wanted? Parity? A bunch of guys to spread the wealth? There is no dominant player. Period. The PGA Tour and TV don't want a bunch of guys winning. They want a dominant one, and no one has that step on your neck mentality. You have guys you've never heard of winning and rating are in the toilet. But hey! Golf is in a good place, right? I like a lot of guys out there, but they are just guys, as you say, making a living out there, getting $2-4M per year and plodding along for 5-10 years and then they go work for Golf Channel as a weekend analyst...which I kind of am jealous of!

 

I don't think anyone is going to step up and lead the way. There's just too many guys that were shown the way to do it and you have a 22 year old guy with 2 tour wins, and is now good for the next 6 1/2 years...assuming he shows good form after his military obligation in Korea.
