I received my Lajosi LP 421, German stainless steel..  GSS,  . Nice and heavy at 360, I am having to learn to not leave the toe open, the flow neck has a little extra toe hang, leaving a few of them out to the right but feels very nice.

So I was able to take a few sexy bedroom pictures.

My wife got me a DD201 for anniversary last year. Soppy design, I know, but I'll keep her if she keeps getting me putters from Kari. 

 

Carbon steel chocolate copper finish with black shaft. 355g.

V-groove face is super soft. 

Without us knowing my mate got hold of Kari and upgraded the grip to Exotic Ostrich black and added the shaft band. 

Most important, it makes putts.

My 20th anniversary date is almost the same as yours.  But I didn't a putter - I got drug off to Jamaica... 🙂

Thread revive. Kari posted this mid slant Sensor the other day and I just need a lefty version of it. I've been looking for this build for a while. 

 

 

Now my one question. To get Kari to build a mid slant neck do I submit his custom order form and then can change the neck or just email him directly with what I want?

I was in conversation with him via email and he quit responding. I think I drove him crazy with questions. Haha. I wasn’t trying to be annoying, but I’ve never built a custom before and just wanted to make sure I had all my details covered. But it sounds like you know exactly what you’re looking for, so you should be good just emailing him.

I hate being annoying like that myself as well but I want a perfect putter. I may or may not have built a few hundred putters on Kari's site so I pretty much know what I want. Just want the mid slant neck and maybe a different face milling. But I'd pretty much send him what I want and pay pretty quick. Just need that money thing lol.

Kari reached back out to me. He’s been great to deal with throughout our MANY emails. I don’t blame him for needing to take a breather from me for a short bit. Haha. My post was mostly me poking fun at myself for being unintentionally annoying. Anyway, I’m about to place my order for both a DD201 and a LP421. I can’t wait. Have always loved Kari’s work.

Guess I'll join the party and finally post some photos of mine. Had it for about a year now and love it, recently changed the shaft out to a black chrome/smoke one it looks really good.

He's always great with email. You can definitely build 'most' of the putter you're after on his site and just email him some specifics; I have done this in the past.

That's what I'm going to do. I'm about the start the build process on another putter, the Lajosi will be next after I either sell an extra drive I have or some work payments come in. Until then just going to gather more ideas.

I'm close to contacting Kari about a putter build but I'm stuck on 2 minor or maybe major things, the steel and the finish. I like both SS and Carbon and have no issue keeping both but to anyone that has tried both or have both does either stand out from Kari for whatever reason? 

 

The other is the finish, I really want an oil can or a matte black since I don't have either in my collection now just lots of plain satin and blasted finishes. Again any stand out from Kari? Honestly in the end if I like what I get I'll may order another with a different layout but similar.

Both feel very similar to me from Kari. As far as finish goes I wanted something a little different from him too. I went for the sunburnt stainless which is like a torched bronze finish. Looks stunning in the sunlight and just enough to be different without going overboard.

I was seriously leaning towards a carbon oil can but just scrolling through Kari's work his stainless lately has been so clean I can't take my eyes of them. Which really doesn't change from what he usually makes.

 

But that Sunburst finish is definitely unique and I could do the oil can with anyone else, plus the Sunburst Finish really makes the small details stand out on his putter. Now to contact him and let the build begin, just indecisive on a few minor, minor things.

Have him at least start the head. I changed the mill and something else after he started it. Very accommodating and great communication! Can't wait to see what he builds you!

Good idea I know the head, neck and weight I want. Just some small things like alignment and milling I'm still thinking about.

yeah just tell him that and he should start head. I know he sent me photos of the raw head after it was milled and looked awesome even then!!!

 

and no alignment aid at all is the only way to go!

I need a line it's been proven by science that I do 😂 no alignment never looked right to me.

I had a naked blade for a bit, tried it for 9 holes and just didn't get along. Did the Edel fitting and naked I think I aim a pull the flange line aims me middle.

I can always remove the paint fill in the future. My eyesight is meh and it's a long way down to the putter from my eyes.

removing paintfill never worked for me, sold everything with a line. Dot is the most my eyes can handle
