He's usually good with responses, sometimes he needs a nudge to get a response but he's probably busy as well.

If you paid then no doubt yours is in the queue. He normally sends you a pic or two of the milled piece as an update after a month or so. He also will double check any etchings you want and confirm paint. Then you typically get one pic from one vantage point of your finished putter. Then you get your putter via DHL and it looks 50 times better than the pic he showed you. At least that’s how things have worked for me on my orders.

Here are some side-by-side pics of the 3 different Sensor models I own. They are all 4.5” long. The copper-plated one is the tour version with serrated v groove face milling and it is 1” wide. The satin one with the copper insert is the regular version with standard depth face milling and it is 1.1” wide. The salted caramel one is the widebody version with true spiral face milling and it is 1.25” wide.

Tour is first pic. Widebody is second pic. I don’t know the exact head weight of the regular because I bought it secondhand, but I would guess in between the two. The widebody definitely feels heavier than the tour and the regular feels in between. Hope this helps.

I confirmed final specs and paid on 9/25 and he sent an email 10/17 saying that my insert has been completed and the head was going into the CNC machine that week.

 

I have ordered a new shape head/PROTO that isn't on the website as well as a welded neck, which will likely add to the time it takes but I'm hoping fingers crossed for it to be here for Christmas.

Considering your doing a Proto head/design it may take a bit longer but Kari is a workhorse that will get done. And sometimes just best to let him work cause that's when you get the best results.

Update…in case you care. The first two pics are the copper plated tour Sensor when I first got it. The last three pics are the same putter after a few rounds of use in wet conditions.

What "details" is it you are hoping to find out? Its a Lajosi blade headcover- that design has been readily available from him

Question about the maintenance on this, obviously will change colors with use, but any special maintenance needed with it?  I’m looking to have a custom done in copper myself.

Nope. I just wipe all my putters down with Ballistol before and after use and they retain their minty quality. Ballistol is just a polish and I believe it helps protect against fertilizer. You will not be disappointed with Kari’s work. Every time I buy from him, I open the box and am just blown away with the quality. A lot of bang for the buck with Lajosi IMO and I will likely order more from him.
 

Note: This one is just copper plated, but it shouldn’t be any different with a full copper piece.

Just wondering what kind of turnaround times people are seeing from Kari these days?  I built, ordered and paid for a custom LP421 putter back on September 9th and haven't heard anything since getting the order confirmation.  I didn't want to bother Kari given all of the COVID/lockdown stuff happening in AUS.  I've seen a few pics here from folks who ordered right around the time I did or even after, including one that looks remarkably similar to the putter I ordered... 

 

I hope everything's OK with him.  I've ordered three customs from Kari previously, so I have no concerns that he'll deliver.  I guess I'll send him an email to check in.

I wonder if he got backed up with that Black Friday release. He made like 8-12 putters for that sale which probably took up some time I assume. 

 

Hopefully he gets back to you soon with a putter update.

I placed my order late September. He was getting it back from the welder last week and is going in for Marine Satin finish this week and could be shipping next week.

 

I'm not sure what finish you got but ours could be in the same batch? Mine did have a bit of work; a Teryllium insert, Timascus tour dots, welded neck and a new head shape.

It's a mid mallet, similar to the LP421. He calls it the LP747. I prefer the lines/look of the 747 to the 421.
