Drinking coffee & surfing eBay I came across this one with about 20 seconds left in the auction. Needless to say I tossed in an impulse bid...and won. Now, my question is, what the heck did I win? I can't really tell from the pics, but it looks like it might have a face insert...maybe cooper...or just a reflection from a bad pic... Anyway, any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Full face copper insert. That will feel great. Note: my impulse buys normally come after drinking beer.

My Pal used to own this putter out in Dubai. It's been around the world a few times!

I reached out to Kari, and this is what he said about the putter:

 

“I'm sorry- but I'm not sure what's happened to the neck- it's very strange, as the back cavity look really weird too- it's sort of looks like the head has been painted?? and they did a lie/loft

adjustment and the paint has come away??

The weld looks pretty secure- so it should still putt OK.”

Waiting on a pair of FN22s I ordered about 8-9 weeks ago. Don’t want to bug Kari but hope it’s closer to 10 weeks than 16!

If you haven't emailed him in a while just send a follow up email asking for an update of if he has any progress photos. He good to respond if you respond in a professional and polite manner.

Super close to pulling the trigger on a Lajosi. Quick question for the group: Has anyone had the oil can finish done on stainless? I love the idea of a carbon, but I know the upkeep will eventually annoy me.

 

Also, does anyone know the depth of the 201?

I was not aware Kari offered oil can on stainless, traditionally this is a carbon only finish.

I thought so, too, but it’s still listed as an option after selecting stainless in the online builder. I sent him an email a couple days ago, so I guess I’ll find out when I hear back. Hope yours turns out perfect!

Ah! Good eye. Thanks for sending. That multi-color look is throwing me off. Now I’m leaning more towards marine satin. Making decisions is hard lol.

Can’t go wrong with Marine Satin.  Nice thing about putters is you can always get them refinished if you don’t like the look albeit at an extra cost.

What's the best way of putting in a custom order that requires additional customizations (ex: softened topline)? Is there a way to provide notes in the online builder or should I shoot Kari an email?

Both. I put some notes in during checkout and I followed up with a PDF with all my selections.
