Since he does a lot of "Off Menu" things I may suggest emailing him or contacting on social media that you want to do a build with a few options not listed on his site. For me he told me to fill out the customizer then screen shot the build sheet and just email him with the other stuff I wanted.

@Bigjim1022 Email him first regarding items that you don’t see on the “design you own” interactive build through his website to see if he can or will be willing to do it. His communication is decently good when discussing a build. Once you confirm through email, he will ask you to design you own through the website and then type out all the custom changes you discussed in the notes section.

Carbon will at the very least rust spot over time.  hate rust too and opted for SS.  What I have had to do for my carbon putters is to spray a light coat of 2K clear coat to prevent.  I am finding out the non 2K coats are not durable as well.

Kari has always recommended stainless if you even have thoughts/worries about rust.  It’s not absolute, but negligible concerns with rust.

First time poster, hope it’s in the right place.

 

I’ve read that Lajosi putters are completely customisable and have played with the digital customising tool on his site - wondering if anyone would know if it’s possible to have one ordered without any Lajosi markings, initials or lizards? 

 

I just haven’t seen any pics in here of putters without those markings, yet the online process suggests it might be possible. 

 

I’d be proud of a Lajosi if I were to order and would tell all my friends where I got it - I just really would like a very minimal design. Thanks.

Email Kari and ask, some makers are ok with selling their putters without any branding, some they have to have something even in minimal.

Superb!  Not sure if this is common knowledge but Kari actually forges his own damascus.  How's that for true blue hand made!

Yes, you can even request how tight of a grain pattern you would like it! He really is a craftsman.

Yeah.  I think that's determined by layer count.  He's done quite a few over a thousand layers iirc.

Just got word that Kari will be starting on my putter this week.  Been looking for a teryllium insert of sorts for a long while now so I'm glad I landed with Kari.

Had a number of things I wasn’t happy with with my custom from Kari.  Toe hang was significantly off and the finishing/final product was just sloppy and didn’t seem like there was much attention to detail. I decided to send the putter off to 847 customs. Just got it back today and I’m blown away with the difference. It’s got a torched stainless pipe neck, raw carbon head.  25* toe hang like I had originally ordered. He bead blasted the head and left it raw so it will patina to blend in with the torched stainless neck. Nick did a great job.

My putter is done.  I requested for a couple of sole bullets but that would have resulted in too much weight loss.  I think Kari did a great job again!

 

Look at that super flushed face insert. No gaps whatsoever!  I've observed many makers past and present and Kari for me, does the best face inserts.

Same issue with my carbon DD201WB in oil-can. I just got mine today and it has 2 distinct lines on the flange. Its a handsome putter but kind of a bummer to have those imperfections

That's super unfortunate. I'm sure Kari will take care of it for you, but something like this just shouldn't happen.

This may just be my eye or photo angles, why is the alignment dash on the topline of the Anser style putters look so wide? Is it an option to request this thinner?

Yeah that’s terrible. He really needs to specify that his oilcan finish is not bead blasted and this line is present. It goes straight from the mill to finishing which is astounding to me. 
 

Better yet, just bead blast the damn thing like everything else after milling. 
 

I sent mine off to 847 customs rather than going through the hassle of sending back.
