what kind of feel/sound would you describe it as?

Can anybody provide close ups of the ultra fine or fine, mid milling, and deep milling? Placing a custom order right now and wanted to see what the different mill patterns look like on finished putters

This is fine. And noise with a pro v for a 10 foot  putt

I forget if this is his fine or ultra fine, I just showed him a pic of one of his putters and said "this milling". It doesn't really soften up the feel much but that's what I wanted I just didn't want a smooth face for some reason. Depending on your sensitivity to feel/sound most will say that Kari's stuff does lean to the firmer side in general so a deeper milling may be needed. But his deep milling is very soft.

I’ve never had a carbon putter before so this will be a first. My Champions Choice button back has the copper face insert with what appears to be a light mill, not sure if carbon with a light mill would be firmer or softer

I think the copper insert one below is 0.1 mm mid milling and is very nice, albeit a little firmer than you would expect. The very fine milling as shown on the black carbon one below is pretty firm, even on carbon. Hands down the best Lajosi I felt was the deeper milling on the silver-plated sensor below I had a while back. If I was doing another one, I would definitely get the same milling as on the silver plated one below.

Ordered my two FN22s April 12 and they just shipped, fyi. Pretty much 16 weeks. 
 

I think took longer bc of my neck choice, but that’s probably going to be a lot more popular now…

Interesting...I ordered a FN22 in mid May and a couple weeks ago Kari advised they'd be shipped to me in the next week. What kind of finishes did you get?!
And yeah...I suspect that FN22 popularity will go up.

Yea I think they were milled in batches. 
 

I got one marine satin and one black. Both SS.

Ah nice, sounds awesome! Would be cool to see what they look like when you get them 😉

I got mine in black carbon steel and will post pics when it arrives in (hopefully) a few weeks.

Not sure if this is allowed here or not. I can delete if so. Is anyone currently waiting on a putter from Kari and would be willing to add a Billy Blue Tongue headcover to your order to have it shipped with your putter? Kari was supposed to switch the one I had to selected from the website when I built mine to a Billy Blue Tongue cover but I’m sure he just forgot and I got the stock cover that I selected. I looked to see what shipping would be to me in the US today and it was over $80 for the shipping. I wouldn’t think it would add any additional shipping costs to your order and I would obviously pay you for the cover and shipping to me in the US.

I came across this thread, and you guys have convinced me to order a custom lajosi putter. I really love the DD201WB shape with a flow neck. I was curious if anyone had placed a similar order recently and had any thoughts. I'm thinking of the deep milling with starburst or marine satin finish. Too many options for a simpleton like me. Appreciate the help.

I've ordered a DD201 (not WB) and I guess my only thoughts are to do some research about what you're after before ordering. I think most of the options that are easy to get caught up in don't reeeeallly affect the playability, ie. colour/finish, stamping, etc (although they might affect confidence, which in turns affects playability....🤔)

The things that you may want to get a better understanding of, in how they relate to how you putt, are things like weight, loft/lie, face milling. Face milling is going to dictate how the putts feel but seems like you're across that already. When Kari asked me about what loft/lie/weight I wanted I had no real clue and I wasn't about to go get fitted and get specs, so I just used the specs off a putter that I use that I can consistently make good contact with and seems to roll the ball well. I matched it's weight but aired on the lighter side as its easier to add weight if I need with lead tape than remove weight. I also looked over every single pic in his ig and picked out a few that I liked the look of for a finish. I then mocked up the stamping that I wanted, paint fill colour, tried to be as specific as possible.

Then I waited a week, looked at everything again so I was sure I was still happy with it all, then placed my order! It should get shipped soon (hopefully) and will drop in some pics here. The process is super fun 🙂

FYI the fn22 neck is half shaft offset. The flow neck is or can be full shaft.

My Lajosi Damascus 346 gram face balanced putter. Some things to note there is a timascus plug on the face in the heel and on the bumper on the toe side.  Doing this takes weight out of the heel and there is an internal tungsten rod with a timascus cover on the back bumper so the sweet spot is directly in the middle of a putter to offset the heavier long slant neck.

Nothing but praise for Kari on this one.  Chocolate copper finish is gorgeous, little darker than the camera shows.

Thanks, definitely more brown, with some copper shining through.   I like that it’s not uniform as well.
