[/quote]I may be wrong, but the pics from address looked like the i-E1 were: thinner topline, marginally less offset, "smaller" throat area. Again, it was just a quick compare between those and the I25, but those were my thoughts. I like the cleaner look of the all silver cavity personally, but I don't know those will come to retail?? I'm not entirely sure why folks are upset...

I think they will grow on people. Similar to i25s. Understated. I think they will look better with "in hand" photos, same as basically every ping iron besides the goregous s55s.

The real disappointing change for me is the font change to the sole. You could look at the number on the sole of a ping iron and immediately knew it came from Arizona. Now, that could be a mizuno stamping or maybe a tm. That cuts me to the core.

Looks like typical ping. But more upgrades than i20 to i25. Looks like they added a cavity in the back, rounded sole, trailing grind. Wow, udaman jonn.

I'm not a fan of the insert or badge or whatever you call it but i think they look good if you are looking down at the irons which is what matters to me. That and if they play like ping i series irons but a bit softer feel you have a winner.

Thanks to the folks who've contributed to this thread, and more for the discretion of the members who've edited the photos out of their posts (as we would otherwise have had to remove them). Hopefully we'll see some in-hand photos soon, but we're not allowed to post leaked materials that are copyrighted. And the ones getting posted so far are PING's stock pictures.

They look pretty clean, but would have preferred a darker blue or black for the badge. The light blue is a bit strange.

More so, it would have been refreshing to see lettering stamped into the metal and then paint filled, like the old i3/i3+ series, but I guess this type of badging is the trend these days.

What's truly important though is their performance and that they play like an i series iron, lots of forgiveness in a smaller progressive package. I'll be excited to see the mpf numbers on this model to see if that hidden cavity changes things up. Hopefully a lower vcog in the 4,5,6 irons.

It also looked to me as though the finish is different and they had a darker face where the grooves are. Also, no tungsten in the toe area? Surprised to see that.

Hoping Ping used 431 and a soft elastomer ctp this time around, but it wouldn't keep me up at night if they stayed with good old 17-4.

I'm sure they'll perform great.

+1 love ping but I wash they would have looked like the glide. Not sure I like the blue or the badge. Wonder if you can order it to be silver or black paint like you can order the woods with different colors on the sole and face?
