Nike 2016

I'm kinda the opposite.. I was fully fitted once for mizzy's and I'm 6'4". I couldn't control the longer irons worth a hoot at plus 1". Test the MP-54's that are 2* upright and standard length and suddenly my iron play is back.

So it's either one of two things.. A) I had a bad fitting. B) I've played shorter clubs my whole life and was so used to them that adding an inch to my irons dramatically threw me off and I'm at the stage of my life where "my swing is my swing" and it's pointless to change anything!

I'm leaning toward "B". Lol

Ha it's fascinating to see how us tall players are fit. My fitter related it to kuchar and his lift before each shot and needing something longer.

I play 3" over in my irons, 2" in woods and wedges, driver is std. I find I need to add some weight to the woods (Nike being heavier helps) to control my release point. Either way, I'm thankful it keeps my back from getting hurt.

Agreed OEMS are increasing length just like they're jacking up lofts in the quest for more distance

The most annoying thing is OEM's not being able to come up with a standard measuring process. My last 3 drivers ordered at 44.5" have been different lengths.

Im 6'1 and play everything std length, depends on arm length at address. PING std length is what I play to. everything now days is .5 inch long or more and just doesn't feel right.

It's a political thing..........who's method becomes the standard?

Same for shaft properties; torque, bend profiles/curves, frequency, shaft straightness, flex, etc. Probably the last thing the OEM's want.

Tre was right just heard staffers are getting it soon, public within the next month most likely

Is it an upgrade to the app? Or a separate device?

"upgrade" to the app but essentially a brand new app all together

Yeah update to the app. My buddy is trying to get me added to the test list of the app. He's had it awhile and I've seen it, definitely an upgrade to the current. As far as device, don't think Nike will develop a separate device, but hopefully try to integrate the app with the Apple watch would make the most sense.

Got in touch with Mike Taylor from Nike a few weeks back in June. Incredibly nice guy, and like many have said about him-very passionate about what he does.

After talking with him over a few emails I nervously asked for two specific wedge models and the chances of me getting even one of them. He replied and asked for my address and told me not to worry about the shipping costs.

MT truly is a one of a kind guy who cares about the golfer and giving them the tools they need to succeed. Hope to stay in touch with him after my package arrives

^^^^ I may be biased, but yup, MT, DF and everyone I've met at the OVEN are some of the most genuine people. Not only they are passionate about their crafts, they are really good at it too, and most importantly they are so down to earth. I'm very lucky to get to know them.

Any hope for an update/re-release of the app on android? I'm still using an old APK to use the app, I like the simplicity in the score tracking and the pictures you can post after your rounds. Miss not having GPS though.

Opinions needed for those that play the vapor fly irons. I hit a few into net at store today and man they feel good. I'm definitely not a fast swinger and only carry 5-wedge in irons. I shoot in mid 80's on the longer courses due to slow swing speed. I am playing old version of ap2's and hit them ok, have consistenty problems with longer irons and wonder if you all would recommend upgrading to the fly irons? As much as I love the looks alone, also need to justify them being better irons overall. Thanks for advice

Seriously though, the new Nike clubs are better than most people think. You will really like the upgrade. I seriously want the vapor fly pro irons this fall myself.

I hit them and instantly loved them. huge upgrade from my current clubs (TMag Burner 2.0). just waiting for them to arrive fitted with dg pro s300. I tried others at golfsmith previously and these just felt like butter to me.

I can't wait until Nike drops the new pro combo this fall... that means the vapor pro combos will be on sale and I can cop them at a better price!

That's exactly what I'm waiting for.

It's been hard resisting all the Vapor Pros and Pro Combos in BST.

Just think how many more sets will be available when the new pro combos come out, and prices will be even lower
