New irons in 2017 are replacing the pro and Pro combo. Fly pros are continuing through 2017.

 

So if you are looking to get the pro model instead then yes, otherwise there should not be a price drop.

My girlfriend wants to get into golf. Being a Nike fanboy (slowly converting to all Nike) I'm looking at piecing together a Nike set for her.

 

On irons, leaning towards last year's Vapor Speed 5-S. Is this year's Vapor Fly worth the extra couple hundred bucks? I'm thinking she will need all the forgiveness she can get but want to take her out and let her hit some range balls and see if she's a natural by chance! Haha

 

I got my gf covert 2.0 irons cheap @globalgolf and she blast em, she holed out from 81 yards I still never hear the end of it.

Still can't believe how well I'm hitting the Vapor Flex 440. Diamana is working great with the head, and even loading the shaft hard in the downswing the stiff flex is holding up great. Just shoots mid-launch rockets. Wish it felt a little more solid, but I'm not arguing with results.

 

Now, just need the 2017 Pro irons to be released so I can replace my OG Blades.

You should be able to, but you're going to pay a premium. Probably close to $100/club.

Usually not a problem as long as the iron is current.

I've used tgw in the past and they had a customize option to select individual irons and, change length, lie, grip for like $130 a club.

Lol, I didn't say I liked it.. I said it wasn't as bad as I thought :tongue: The soles seemed to provide good traction from what my buddy said, it's hot and dry out here so it's probably a great spike system for the summer. I'd buy it if it were a low top for sure. :read:

Hey guys just wanted to give you an update on the NG 116 Open headcover. If you call Nike and let them know you were expecting magnetic/embroidered and you want to keep the HC, they will work on the price with you. They gave me $20 back on it. Just wanted to let those of you who were bummed.
