Ordered 460 m1 with rogue silver 70x. My buddy ordered same with black tie 70m4 x and we swapped for a bit. Wow, black tie definitely moves the ball better out there with dispersion also for me. Luckily he prefers a diff shaft so made the friendly trade easy to convince him. Lol

Lower launching/spinning than rogue silver 70x?

I guess i should try that out if Rogue Silver 70X doesn't work out. What's your normal shot trajectory like? Into the clouds?

It's killing me that I can't dial in an m1 head to beat my r15. I love the looks of it but can't get it right. The closest I've come is by going down a degree in loft with the weight all the way up front. To be honest I'm trying to find a setup that I can keep the weight back but to match my launch and spin numbers from before...

Ordered the 460 M1 10.5* with Kiyoshi Purple. Can't wait for it to arrive; even though the rainy winter season has commenced here. Range rat here I come!

Since you're happy with the performance, just send the head to Continental for a paint job. Save yourself some money and headache with the bulge issues.

It looks like the head is in a bit of a back order. Taylormade Custom site shows 11/18 as the earliest shipping day for the 8.5 head and shaft is ready in 2 days

That's a massive difference, are you launching the 8.5 in the same window as the 12?

i couldn't get the 10.5* SLDR 430 off the ground with the HZRDUS b/c it didn't spin enough...i moved to the 9.5* in the M1 430 and still jacked up the loft to around 11...and i get a mid/high ballflight depending on if i want to flight a low one or bomb a high one.

Sldr 430 12, r15 460 9.5, m1 8.5.
To be fair the 12 deg sldr 430 was set one click open (11.5) was launching around 16deg. Sldr 460 10.5 std was giving me same launch but too much spin.

The r15 9.5 one click open was launching around 14.5.

The m1 8.5 std is launching me 14.5ish as well.

So the long answer is the sldr was super high loft because I was fit for the whole super high launch low spin thing, although the di6 I used in that club was higher launching than the shaft I've been using since the r15.

Also I went 8.5 in the m1 with the hopes of being to able to set the weight all the way back (at least mentally tell myself the head is in more moi friendly setting).

YMMV but this has been my experience spending hours upon hours getting fit. I have a +3-4 AOA.

EDIT: went today to dial in my 8.5 head. Well, I walked out with a 430 9.5 head. I know TM says the 460 and 430 spin the same but for me centered strikes did spin similar but the slight mishits definitely spun less. And with the weight all the way back on the 430 head dispersion was fine. I had been struggling with a 460 head, maybe it was the shape but it was like my issues trying to dial in a g30. The 430 is the ticket for me.

Do Tour issue m1s ever come with a closed face?
i highly doubt it -- most pro's like it actually sitting open. closed faces are usually for amateurs or those who have a tendency of leaving the ball way right.

it's possible, but i think rare to find?

has anybody seen their M1 adapter without an upright setting labeled on it ? with all of the talk of the M1 being flat in the standard position I took a look and do not see it labeled , is that normal ? looking at the OEM adapters to buy one it appears that the upright marking is on the inside of the adapter if I see it correctly ?

So my order placed last Saturday with stock shaft is on backorder because of the head. Hopefully they're addressing the paint crack issue not rushing things to meet demands. Current delivery estimate puts it 18th of this month

A very good friend of mine who is a club pro sent me his M1 head as he just signed with Titleist. It arrived Monday and for the first time in awhile I can say this head is longer then anything I have ever hit. Playing my home course of over 8 years, had 3 holes of my longest drives ever on each. Overall the flight is incredibly repeatable. The best part is finally no upshoot spinny shots. Overwhelmingly impressed, this may be the 17 yards longer TM has been talking about. After one round and two practice sessions it has been for me.

Yesterday our club had a Cobra demo day where the new King LTD and Pro clubs were available. While the head looks and feels great, it's a very short hitting club. I mentioned to the rep that it was extremely short. He asked what I was hitting and asked me to get it so they could be hit from the same spot. Hit the Cobra first, then hit the M1. After one swing with the M1 he just walked away shaking his head, never saying a word. Literally driver vs 3 wood distance difference. Cobra had the stock Rogue 95, M1 has a Tour Green. Similar enough not to be the cause of the crazy difference in distance. Honestly, it would have been shorter then any recent driver I've hit. Launched the same as the M1, flight looked similar just lacked distance.
because when you have it set on std that is the part of the adapter you see at address when looking down the shaft. cleaner look.

Did some on course testing and it's a little shorter than my lst while being less forgiving so I've given it to my brother who's a TM driver guy. Compared to his r11 it's easily 20 yards longer, much lower spin being the main reason and he's hitting it straighter than the old one too. Wish it was longer for me because it looks and sounds better than the lst but I have mine dialed in to where I dont know if anything will beat it.

OK....Here we go.....A lot of the M1 supporters... in this thread will not like this, but here goes.....I have been spending a lot of time comparing my beloved G30Ls, and the M1 430 and the M1 460......Ping has been more consistent, the m1's, a little longer on perfectly struck shots.....Today, i was hitting some balls at the range, and my buddy said, here, try this....He handed me a RBZ Stage two head, which i proceeded to hook up with my UST VTS SPX shaft which has been my shaft of choice in the M1's.........Well, as i'm sure you have guessed, the RBZ was head and shoulders better than the others for me......As straight and longer than the Ping.....Straighter and longer than the M1's......Easy to draw....Easy to fade....If this driver had just come out, I would be starting the official RBZ Stage two driver thread........Numbers? Who knows.....Results...No question.....Anyone have anything to add to this.....Any of you still using the stage two?

Older TM heads will fit some swings better as will the more present heads....it all depends on your swing style if one is better than the other for you. If you are not a high spin guy and the older heads produced great numbers once dialed in, chances are that the newer heads will be to low of spin and not enough forgiveness.

I remember all the comments about the TM SuperTri head...."spins like a top" , but for me it about perfect for my SS, AOA once it was dialed in. For high speed players with a negative AOA, it did spin like a top!

Certain CG locations just work better for certain types of swings.

Avg swing speed, 113 to 115..........Avg spin with the M1, 2400.....Not sure about spin with the ping.......I remember when the stage two came out, everyone was screaming about how low spin it was. By the way, i have a poss. AOA.
