I'm assuming trolling loses interest after a while? Especially after loads of us offered to play him and he said no, that angle was gone, and since we're largely a bunch of sensible folks here, none of the trolling turned into serious flaming, it was just degrees of stupidness and we all played along.
If a trolls sense of purpose is to wind forum members up, that wasn't happening, in the end he almost became the straight man, for all of our stupid replies

Now we only have PT as our resident fantasist-troll... not nearly as entertaining. Not even close and quite played out actually.

He started to slip up towards the end and was throwing a few too many Big Lebowski quotes out there. Whether intentional, or unintentional, it was one of many signs that the material was running dry.
