Ford Mustang - Germany's favorite sports car

 

In Germany, the land of the Autobahn, where speed is regarded as a national right, the best-selling sports car last month wasn't the locally-built Porsche 911. It was the Ford Mustang.

60000 reasons why the Mustang GT has a fighting chance against the Porsche in sales (and for performance the Blue Oval isn't completely embarrassed by the Porsche, making it an even more AMAZING value)... interesting the Camaro has zero popularity, or maybe 100% proof that only the Mustang is the international icon for an American pony car.

It will be interesting to see with the new Camaro what happens, as that was build as a world car like the new Mustang. (Smaller, lighter, 4 cyl turbo to get around fuel/tax regs). Also note, it says 'the most popular' is the GT but it took into account the sales of all Mustangs that beat Porsche.

 

And, IMHO, (I am the last guy you'd call a Porscheophile), a buyer of a P-car wouldn't be cross shopping Big Blue.
