I wanted to ask the classics forum guys on the ethics of flipping thrift shop finds. The clubs I found weren't vintage by any means

Taylormade Speedblades 5-PW LH, but a $2/club I figured easy money and bought them, threw them on Craigslist for (more), got a buyer almost instantly and feel a bit guilty. What do you all think?

Coming home from visiting my mother on Sunday and her area has a hard rubbish collection happening, basically people put there rubbish out on the nature strip for a given day and the council collects it. Driving along and spot an old Macgregor bag. Stop, jump out, open it up and the hoped for trove of old Mac persimmon isn't there but weirdly there is a near new Titleist AP2 3 iron, a near new Vokey wedge, a Cobra Trusty Rusty, two Ping G30 irons and 4 or 5 other newish clubs. All now to be flipped to pay for the next batch of Macs David Bass is sending me.

The amusing thing, I sitting here looking at an immaculate EoM 653 that David restored that cost me less than that unloved AP2 3 iron will get on Fleabay.

Absolutely nothing wrong with flipping for a profit. I have my version of it. The more modern stuff like that I trade to a friend of mine who owns a golf shop down the street from me. He deals a lot on E-bay too. He either has something I want or gives me store credit. He will also call me if say someone needs an older 588 or bulls eye putter. Some classic stuff I give away to folks on here and the other site I go on. Me and him do business where he can make a profit too. After all he does have a store to maintain and employees to feed. I still have my shop out back and I do a little work for folks I know. Like I told someone I do not do it for a living it just funds shop supplies and fuels my hoeing habits. Note: I may be physically able to get back in my shop next week hoping so

To all others here, if you are ever anywhere near Lexington, KY....bring your vintage clubs - or any clubs, for that matter - and play my little track.

Perfect length for seniors and vintage equipment, and from what others in the area tell me...the absolute best greens in the Lexington area.

OH man should have called you. Had partially retired but still driving like 2 or 3 days a week running 1 trip about 6 hrs total per day. Was climbing into a trailer to sweep it out and a ladder collapsed tumbling me down 5 feet. Had a concussion fractured and compressed #L3 vertebrae in my back and cracked my left scapula. Spent 3 days in the hospital. Having to wear a back brace and use a hurry cane type thing to walk with. I am out of commission at least 6 more weeks.

The old TW Ram wedges were the most popular specialist wedges when I was growing. Up. The BeCu and Cobalts spun more than any wedge made since then (but destroyed balatas). They offered a variety of shapes, lofts and bounces that only Wilson and to a lesser extent, Hogan, offered. The Tad Moore wedges were junk.

Never did see many growing up in my area. My old man the last year before he retired was a Ram Staffer. The only reason he did that was to help the rep out who used to actually work for him. The only Ram clubs I recall him selling were the fastback beginner sets , A few Golden Ram Tour Grinds and a early Ram CB club called the XS-1000 which was not a bad club at all. I never saw him sell any of the wedges even though I do recall we had a Watson Scoring system set. I was not there when he gave it up ( I was in Florida) so I do not know if he sold those wedges or not

My area was in the UK. Ram sold a lot of wedges, putters and balls.

Had a TW 58/10 and a 52/11* rake. the best wedges I have owned.. You name em, Vokey, Callaway ect.... The 58*, I could do anything with because of the grind. Miss that wedge..... NRJyzr?? thoughts???

Fantastic Tour Bloc II!!!!! Love the Wilson persimmons. Because of the Macs,Hogans...... The Wilsons, Titleist and Powerbilts get overlooked.

Troon Grind, perhaps? Narrow sole, trailing edge relief, almost no bounce?

I have a couple of the Troon Grinds, used them with a fair bit of success for several years. Haven't tried using them lately, though...
