I'm genuinely concerned he might be a little too astonished by things these days.

 

He probably goes for a walk or something, sees someone jog by at a leisurely pace , and then says "oh....my.....goodness...."

 

This type of astonishment should only be reserved for people like Captain America who've been in ice for 60 years. And he hasn't been!

I don't see any reason not to believe him. They don't just sit in their tower listening to the broadcast the whole time; they watch their hole, take notes on the action so they can refer back and wait for the director's cue. Heck, at one point today, Dottie was asking Faldo a question and he didn't answer. Turns out he was out of the tower, from his vaguely embarrassed sounding response, I'd guess he had left to go to the bathroom. He also wasn't there when the broadcast first started; if something potentially iconic had occurred, he'd have missed it completely.

They need somebody to crack a joke here and there. Faldo is funny sometimes. Either that or start showing good looking wives/girlfriends in the crowd like Musberger did during the Alabama game a couple of years ago. "It's good to be the quarterback in Tuscaloosa" or whatever it was.

That was unreal when Dottie was talking to Faldo and he wasnt there, silence then Faldo returns and asks what she said. I mean things happen but cmon this is the super bowl of golf, just seemed a lil bit like a high school production today. I think they were geared up for an epic or at least interesting spieth mcilroy battle and what they got was a tight choke job from rory and a jordan just barely hanigng on then opening it up like a champion then his own tight choke job coming in. Very frustrating to watch, very deflating, nothing even remotely legendary, heroic or compelling. I bet Tiger or even Jack were watching somewhere just shaking their heads thinking if i could ever get another crack these guys would be easy pickings

This Masters is the first time, that the English commentary we get on Sky Germany is not the original US commentary, but rather that of Sky Britain. Ewen Murray, Colin Montgomerie, Paul McGinley, Butch Harmon, with Rich beeem as the on-course commentator.

The only one who is a bit hard to take is Richard Boxall in my view. I don't like his voice and he does not contribute much.
