How many HUNTERS do we have on the site??

curious to know how many of you guys enjoy hunting and if so, what types of game do you

regularly pursue

I hunt as much as I can, which unfortunately hasn't been much lately. Elk,dove, waterfowl, deer, predators....

i hunt paper targets and some times metal ones. Unfortunately, i miss more than i hit which precludes hunting something that may be moving =P That being said, i'd love to try pig hunting one day since that seems to be a rampant problem in california along with a number of other states.

Elk, and deer are mainstays for the freezer

 

Quit bear a couple of years ago.

Quit waterfowl this year.

 

My 16yr old son loves his black powder and is showing an interest in bow hunting.

 

Daughter recently passed hunters safety....prefers the rifle....just like her mama (hopefully she can learn to reload as well as mama).

Predominantly deer. Rifle/shotgun, bow, blackpowder.

Some waterfowl.

Would love to do some spring turkey hunting, but this is a busy time of the year.

I prefer bird hunting....waterfowl in the MS Flyway is #1, pheasants in the midwest is second.

Been hunting since I was four, with my Dad when I was young, and alone once I turned about 11 or so. I use an old Marlin 35 lever action that my grandfather owned. My grandpa, my dad, and myself have all shot deer with it. I'll be buried with that gun, and a Cleveland wedge.

I go mule deer hunting up in eastern Oregon with my dad. I use my great grandpa's old .300 savage model 99

One good thing about here in Kansas is the hunting. Whitetail gets pretty big here and the bird hunting is usually good as well.

Grew up hunting but it became one of my hobbies I didn't have time for as our family grew. Deer, rabbits and squirrels were my favorites.

Also grew up doing a lot of hunting but it's lessened in importance to me with a young family, my business taking more time, and my preferred hobby being golf. Still take an old family friend duck hunting every year on opening day to the handicap blind. He's 92 and got a couple ducks this year. Usually do opening day of doves and then 3-4 days of shotgun deer hunting and that's about it unfortunately.

 

In the past I used to do all 7 days of shotgun deer, bow hunt deer a few times, turkey for a day, doves for a day or two. Go duck or goose hunting 5-6 days. Pheasants and rabbits a couple days. And maybe sneak out for squirrels once or twice. Dang, I used to go hunting a lot!

I used to deer,duck, and hog hunt with blackpowder. I started at 9 with a shotgun then graduated to rifle and back to blackpowder. We lost our family farm so the hunting stopped. It costs way to much to pay for a lease in texas.

I bow hunt Muley's and white tail out here in Arizona. Unfortunately it's fairly slim pickings in the Tucson region, and if you take on with bow you can't take one with rifle. Looking to sell my bow because all it's doing is collecting dust and I haven't gone out in a few seasons.

Being from Alaska .... I grew up with hunting, fishing and trapping. Hunted moose, bear, rabbits, spruce hens, ducks, etc. etc.

 

Now I've given up all hunting in favor of deep sea fishing.
