I have a golfing friend who I had to train.  Phone calls are so 1970's.  I had to get him to learn how to text to set up our golf tee times.

 

Now if I can just get old-fashioned Larry in L.A. to stop  doing a phone call every 10 days that lasts almost 3 hours.  Bring back landlines and steep long-distance charges!

Oh he’s like larry.  That’s why I mentioned  it had to be a call. A 10 minute call with him.  Is very rare. If you get off in 30 min it’s good. But most likely it’s 45 min to an hour.  Up to 3 or 4.  
 

he and his brother , I think they protest new phones. They both still have flip phones.  Refuse to get smart phones.  But yet they’ll ask you to “ look this up “ every 5 minutes. 
 

if he texted it sure would be easier.

I hate texting but for reasons you can not imagine. I have Banana fingers. My trigger finger the end will barely fit inside a 1/2 12 point socket. As far as a stylus I can use one but tend to lose them. For that reason I prefer calls. On my keyboard It probably takes me twice the time to type something out compared to most of you. Part of it is my hand eye coordination since the concussion during my accident. If I do one of my long winded posts it may take me 20 minutes or more

You can get some serious workouts on a home bike, I did them on a road bike, but you ever do “interval training”?

 

Warm up to a good cadence for 10 minutes then sprint hard for 45 seconds, and I mean hard so you’re practically gasping for breath, then slowwww down for 3 minutes or so, then repeat that a few times. Obviously, you gotta be cleared by a doctor and be relatively good shape to do that.
 

I stopped cycling as my main cardio because it’s such a linear motion and uses no upper body. Theres tons of excellent cardio/HIIT workouts by top instructors on YouTube that incorporate lateral motion and upper body (boxing, mountain climbers, burpees) and you can put in whatever moves you want into the different intervals structure People say they have to go to a class to workout but I really think either you have the motivation or you don’t. 
 

Got wife into it slowly, 15 minutes, twicee a week. Now she’s doing 45 minutes three times a week.

That's a phone call I would listen to half of the voicemail message and delete it. Not a fan of Microsoft sales techniques.
