So, my company got a bunch of tickets to the Letterman show and like 15 of us went, and a Clooney was the big guest

 

Letterman is like, “Here he is, George Clooney”

 

There was a 2 second pause of silence and then you heard EVERY woman in the audience “gasp” in unison 🤣 

 

Gotta say, when he walked out, guy was a total movie 🎥 star.

That is exactly how I am doing it right now. I am holding it down to like under 3500 calories and getting plenty of exercise. I have also cut out all bread. Breakfast is the main thing. Used to be before a round I ate like Bacon Cheeseburgers from the Circle K with a bag of some type of chips. Lately it has been a salad from Kroger with cheese for protein. Last week I started making my own salads at home and using Oil and Vinegar for dressing. I also quit eating my customary 2 hot dogs at the course after the round. Also carry and eat some breakfast bars that are 100 calories each during and after the round. I have been doing this for 2 weeks now along with exercise like working in the yard and have dropped like 6 LBS. I do not feel hungry at all. I am feeling great and my energy levels have went out the roof. I was on this track when I first retired before my accident.

The speed at which the really good summer wrestling camps fill up is crazy.

 

My son is registered for the week he really wanted. I registered him in January because the camp filled up less than 5 days after registration opened. But the others….we should have planned that out earlier. 
 

Kenny Monday 🇺🇸 🥇 is going to run one at Morgan State it looks like. He is awesome. Olympic champ and the first to bring wrestling back to an HBCU, he restarted the program there I think last year.

Couple kids in my HS were all-state wrestlers, I remember they go to some camp in like Iowa or Oklahoma or something 

 

They thought they were cool tough guys cause they did dip. Then they saw these kids doing dip and 

 

swallowing the dip juice 😳🤢🤣

That is the WORST. Around tournaments and practice facilities a lot of coaches / parents / people who should know better leave their disgusting former water bottles now 1/3 full of spit laying around. It’s foul and unacceptable. I’ll keep my opinion on the habit itself to myself, but leaving your bodily fluid sitting around is just the worst. 🤮😡

i lost a massive amount of weight over 3 months in the 1990’s by cutting out most carbs (you’ll always have some) monday through friday, then eating as much and whatever i wanted on weekends. the weight started melting off after about 3 weeks. i also worked out 4 times per week. the two step plan.

 

another way about 10 years later was revving up self control. i ate only half of whatever was in front of me. i didn’t deny myself anything that way. amazing how something so simple works so well. as usual.

 

our head is the heaviest part of the body. if i could stop being such a fathead, i’d lose weight easily.

 

@bscinstnct : always been a fan of machine learning and the potential of ai, especially in medicine. radiology and radiologists are trying to stay relevant, but the reality is ai is too good already. i get the need to protect themselves now, but i doubt there will be many around a generation from now.

 

general diagnostics will improve to surpass “house.” 🙂

Followed and used the khan academy with my son since he was small.  Truly the best teaching methods out there.  He could get an assignment from school. Especially Math.  And not understand it. 10 minutes on one of their videos and he’s doing it.  And this was 7-8 years ago.  I’m sure they’re leaps better now.

Growing up we had a window lady who lived next door. Nice lady. My grandmother took her to the grocery store each week. So I went too , and helped. I saw that she bought  red man tobacco.  I asked my grandpa who she bought it for ?  He said “ don’t mention that.  It’s for her.  But she pretends it’s not “.     One day my grandma saw her out in her garden.  Working.  She had her big sun bonnet on. Etc. She went out to chat her up.  Stayed an hour.  When she finally came back my grandpa said “ you should be ashamed. You know damn well she’s got a chew in , are you trying to drown her “?    Apparently she wouldn’t spit in front of folks.  So it was assumed that she was swallowing it.   Sooooooo bad.  Grandpa went on to say that he’d seen her spitting everytime she’s outside in the garden.  So he would always just leave her be so she could chew in peace.  But my grandma had no idea 🤦‍♂️.  Apparently back then it was very common for older women to chew or dip snuff. ( tube rose was a popular brand of snuff for ladies ).

Was amazing! Pulled pork, shredded beef, shrimp with this fresh chopped vege stuff. Succulent and in these double soft shells. And I usually can’t stand cilantro but was very subtle.

My grandma on my mom's side chewed. She used one of those old small frozen condensed

lemonade cans as a spittoon. When she came to visit those spittoon cans grossed me out

BUT everyone loved that old gal, including me.

 

She died in the early 1960s just shy of her 80th birthday. Died in her sleep. She had 9 kids

of which my mom was the 2nd youngest. ALL of them wanted her to live with them in her

later years. She was very funny, very self depreciating and just as sweet as a person can

be......apart from that gross spittoon can, lol.
