OK, I've been watching this thread grow, but have zero interest in Nike golf shoes since the 2 pair of TW I have owned were some of the lowest quality GOLF shoes I've ever worn. Don't get me wrong, I'm not here to bash on Nike, since that's the only sneaker brand I wear (just find their golf shoes horrible).

I have to ask, why the "No BST Posting" nomenclature? Are shoes/clothing not allowed to be sold on BST? I see lots of BST posts with someone selling shirts, shorts, and in fact other brands of shoes. Just trying to figure out why you can't sell Nike golf shoes here? Maybe I'm slow on the uptake, but can't figure out why you could sell FootJoy/Adidas/Ecco, but not Nike? Seems kind of unfair to members who might not be able to find other brands on sale for such a great price? Why are the guys who can only find Nikes on sale persecuted for trying to sell them after they try them and find they don't fit well?

I'll sign off now and listen to your responses.

the no BST posting is more for within the thread itself. when these deals first came around, it was basically every other post asking for a pair of 10.5's or someone saying they had 15 pairs ranging from size 9 to 14, and those types of threads get shut down by the mods. so to keep this thread open, everyone tries to be respectful and not post anything.

Because last year when these sales happened the BST was flooded with dumb dumbs trying to flip them for 2x the price. A lot of us were trying to help each other out and sell them for cost +shipping but the flippers ruined that. The BST turned into a TW15 and LC3 flooded marketplace instead of a way to sell old equipment.

BST isn't a place to make money, it's a place to pass on equipment that isn't wanted/needed.

That somewhat makes sense. Although I wonder how many guys on here have a "connection" and get something for pennies on the dollar, and turn right around and flip it on here? I personally don't see the difference.

I get your point 100%. Should be contributing members swapping out stuff they've tried and didn't work out for little to no profit. But since others can sell (flip) "Brand New" shafts or heads, why can't someone else sell (flip) "Brand New" shoes? I've been a member here for a while and never bought/sold ANYTHING, but it seems unfair to me that if a member in Florida or California finds an exceptional deal on something and wants to pass it on to me for much less than I could pay locally, it is frowned on? How is that the community "helping" each other? I have no "Rosses" so even if I paid twice what the seller did it might still be a bargain for me. That should be up to me to decide?

If someone is offering up a dozen K-sigs for $80, it's up to me to decide if they are worth it. But I don't have that chance here, because certain items get scrutinized. Not sure why, but that is the way it seems to be. To me, it's like Will Peoples selling the exact same $200 head for $500 because it's "TOUR ISSUED". It's the same head in most cases, but "sponsorship" brings in extra privileges where he can charge 2-3 times as much.

Not looking for a fight, but tired of seeing the double standards sometimes. Peace Out!

They want to keep this thread clean, otherwise it would become a cluster-f. BST posts belong in the BST section.

If you'd stop ranting long enough to actually read the answer you'd understand. No bst in THIS SPECIFIC thread. People can sell the shoes in the classifieds if they please. The point is to keep THIS SPECIFIC thread clean of posts that would clutter it up.

Not sure I agree with this, I think the mods would close any listing of shoes from Ross/Burlington like they did last year. I personally have 7 pairs I would love to pass on to other members but afraid the mods will yank my post down and I don't want a "warning"

I believe this is correct, I do recall the mods putting a moratorium on selling these items last year on the bst.

So I tried covering the Teal on those FI premiere's earlier this week. I used Plasti Dip available from homedepot. I used blue painters tape to only expose the teal. I then sprayed about 5-6 layers of black plastic dip leaving 30-45 min to dry in between each layer. Use a exacto knife to go over the painted lines when removing the tape. I am extremely happy with the results. I wore the shoes on the course today and they looked and felt great. No pealing at all. The way nike paints on the teal is a perfect base for the plasti dip. This is a full day project but worth the time for me to cover the teal

Dude those are sweet! Well done

Let's keep this thread on topic. This has been hashed out 100s of times before. There is a water cooler off topic forum. We don't need to derail the thread over something that will not go anywhere.

From my experience with nike golf shoes at ross, since someone found a size 8.5 "WIDE"....the wide versions tend to not sell as well at retail...hence them showing up at ross/BCF.

Awesome find though, if we start to see a wave of LC4 men regular sizes like last year's LC3s.....that would be awesome...

Disagree with this. Wides go pretty fast retail/online.

Any recent ross/burlington NEW sightings?

I think the whole Ross-Burlington shoe deal seems completely random and unpredictable. Some areas have had very little and others a lot. In addition, the timings of the stock is unpredictable too. Just had the FI Premieres show up at a local BCF a few days ago and other areas have had them for a couple weeks. The only strategy seems to be to keep checking.
