This is an intriguing press conference with Sergio. He has matured leaps and bounds.

 

I've been saying for months that it's good to marry a younger, attractive, American woman. It would do wonders for Sergio's golf. And that was one of the first things Brandel said in "Live from the Masters." He knows from experience too. I bet Brandel is breaking 70 again.

And Brandel's girl doesn't come close to Sergio's. She's a beautiful girl.

Here's a question for the peanut gallery. On a scale of '08 PGA Championship to 2013 Masters, how legitimate of a major championship victory was this considering the clear world #1 and hottest player in the world was absent? Is there a big, small, or no asterisk? Mark me down for saying it is 98% asterisk free.

The back nine was fantastic. Two guys throwing darts while the rest faded. Spieth surprised me today. He kind of has a Keegan Bradley jittery thing going on when he isn't playing well. Of course, he is 23. The Masters' lived up to its billing today for sure.

I'm disappointed that Spieth didn't show up today and Rose didn't finish off Sergio and that Johnson didn't even get to play. I don't care for Sergio, but I guess he was too good never to win a major.

I thought the same thing about him. Just seemed to try too hard coming out of the gate, and kind of shut down when things weren't going to plan. Feel bad for him really.12 had to be a slap in the face again.

Tiger was 3-2 to win the '08 US Open so I'd venture he'd be similar in the PGA that year. DJ got to what 6-1 maybe 5-1 so it's not close to that. I don't think people will be talking about DJ not playing here in the coming years. Shame he didn't but I don't think there's an asterisk

Some people can't stop talking about Spieth and his poor play today. I don't get it. If you don't like him, why do you keep talking about him?

 

I'd rather talk about Sergios round and the guts it took to pull it out at the end. He broke the curse that seemed to hang over him. I was never a huge fan of his, but it was nice to see him win.
