Always the best tournament of the year!! On to the Players!

 

It was a good finish, yes, but a lot of players put in a lackluster performance. I'm looking at you Spieth and Rickie and everyone else except for Pieters.

 

Even the final group missed a lot of make able putts.

 

Kind of how I jinx guys by getting them on my fantasy baseball team.

Sorry. I've lived in Europe for almost half my life. He knew exactly what he was saying. They're not stupid. He thought he was safe to say what he wanted. He apologized out of necessity. I also saw this sad tidbit,

Again, the whole "fried chicken" stereotype is strictly American culture, and is not referenced or discussed very frequently in day to day life. Do you expect a non American to fully understand the finest intricacies of America's racial climate? It's far more reasonable to suggest Sergio thought he was making a funny, American, joke.

That's possible but take into account the history between him and TW. I also don't think SG was oblivious to the firestorm of hell that Fuzzy caught after his comments.....and he still said what he said. If Fuzzy hadn't happened I'd be on your side because I give a person a lot of rope before I paint them with that brush. SG used all of his in one shot. Again congrats to him but this is part of his legacy.

The comment from Sergio was ill advised and I agree that he knew what he was saying, else he would not have said it.

 

However, I also don't really subscribe to judgement on one thing that a person says, many years ago. A really s**tty thing to say of course, but before we say he's a POS can we at least find out if he really is one? Does he have a racist history, does he have a history of mistreating people? This is what makes people POS, not ill advised comments that seem to be singular in nature.

 

I'm not black so i can't relate. The situation is delicate, so I also can't judge you all for your opinions. And I'll leave it at that.
