Kevin Love is literally in his prime right now. He was a 2x all nba second team and a rightful all star on his own.

 

Lebron just sucks the life out of his all stars teammates. Chris bosh was the perfect example.

Lebron turned Bosh into a jump shooter in Miami. It's a good thing Kevin Love doesn't mind taking those outside shots. He would be a go-to guy on most teams now without a ball dominant player, too

Super teams are bad for sports. The playoff outcomes were known last fall. It made for a pretty boring viewing experience. I don't know what the answer is. I admit if I'm a guy like Kylie, harden, etc I'd be looking for a way to pair up with other top ten talent to challenge the warriors.

Bosh was one of the most wanted players in the NBA after his original contract was up in Miami. He received multiple max deals. It’s funny that someone says KLove is in his “prime” right now. No way he gets anything close to max.

If LeBron goes to Boston in a sign and trade for Hayward or Horford, it's hard to imagine them not being same odds as golden State.

 

But I agree most other places the Warriors probably still clear favorites

No one touching gsw for a couple seasons. Boston is best to hold onto their young assets. A kyrie led Boston looks awfully good once kd leaves gsw in a couple years.

 

Lebron will be 34 years old in 2018/2019 season. He can play at this level for 2 more years at best.

Boston traded Thomas after he injured himself playing for them in the playoffs, Danny Ainge isn't known for being sentimental, if Lebron wants to go there they will make it happen....i don't think it's likely he ends up there though

Pau Metta and Lamar.... not a very good cast at all when they were in LA. Pau yes always will be good with his skill set.

Don’t matter. Lebron had kyrie and love and was only able to grab 1 game last year. All these hypothetical situation comes up but cap restraints will maintain the status quo.

 

He can have 2 more All stars and still lose finals.

 

Playing golf in Florida afternoon thunderstorms is perennial like lebron losing finals. That’s how I know my summers has arrived.

Would be great! But man I'm Canadian and even I'd pick Boston over Toronto in terms of young talent and ease of a sign and trade.

 

I'm not sure Cleveland would want the matching salary back that Toronto could give them.

The Pelicans are actually not in a terrible position anymore. This past season was like a total 180. Jrue Holiday played like a superstar at times and had a very good season overall. E-Twaun Moore at 9M suddenly seems very reasonable as he's like a slightly poor man's Khris Middleton. Mirotic showed a lot of flashes at 12M

 

Suddenly their contracts really aren't bad and they made the second round

 

After next season only Davis, Holiday and Soloman Grundy are signed.

 

I don't see any way the Pelicans trade Davis as they can still legitimately hope to surround him with guys before his contract is up

 

Now if they pay Boogie 30M a year and he is a bust....well......then they have problems.

FWIW , the NBA finals averaged over 12 in the ratings, which is higher than it has been. Though the deciding game was down 11-12% compared to last year.

So even with the most lopsided finals ever, ratings were slightly up.

 

I think if you have a star studded finals , especially with major markets in play. Maybe that is even more important than competitive basketball

I agree. It's not the worst take ever to suggest he's #1 in trade value right now in the entire league.

 

As preposterous as that sounds, he was so good in the playoffs and you have him like 6-7 more years pretty much guaranteed as the only way he could get out of town is rejecting an offer and signing a one year deal

 

So you get into what would you rather....a lot of people think Tatum could win MVP's

Agreed. Next year going to be very interesting for the C's. Smart's contract is up and he has already said he is worth more than 12-14 mil. He did walk it back some by saying he wants to stay in Boston and made no mention of $$. Also C's have chance to get four first round picks in next years draft. Rozier's contract is up year after next. Going to be a lot of fun following them.
