Can you order "regular " Vokeys through the Vokey site with the shaft of your choice and stamping, or do you have to buy them retail and then send them in to Wedgeworks?

You can order directly from Titleist , your Shaft and stamping, lie,loft,length etc.

I've really like my 50 F and was interested in the 54 F, but saw 14 degrees of bounce. That sure seems like a lot. Anyone know the rationale in jumping up that much on the 54? Even better, does anyone play that club that can share their thoughts?

I'm looking forward to seeing the D Grind person.But all this talk about the low bounce K reminded me Vokey had something similar in the 260.06. Great wedge and still my favorite YMMV.

I loved my 258.08 without a doubt, but the feel and performance of the sm2/4/5/6 were far superior for me. I expect the SM7's to be just the next step better.

Has anyone seen or used the new tour chrome's? I'm thinking of going away from black, but worried about the glare. Supposedly the new ones are a little duller. I just don't want to be blinded.

Agreed! The SM4's were the first Vokey wedge I had when I started to play golf more seriously and I love them a lot!

I think it is a little more versatile. I had the 60º V grind in my bag before getting the new SM7s. I got sent a D grind in a 58º-12 and I love it. I have been testing them in my bag for the past 3 weeks and the D grind is currently in the bag over the V grind.

How much different does the brushed steel look like from the SM6 steel grey? I was a big fan of the steel grey in SM6 but am leaning towards black in SM7.

 

To me, they look darker.

 

When I first got them, in my mind I was calling them "smoke liquid chrome". Some angles it can look like a real dark, dull gray and other angles it looks lighter. I don't have any issues with glare and I have been playing the last week and a half in sunny California.

this will be my exact dilemma haha. I have a 60V but a 58D is interesting - if only I could get sent one ;)

The 46 has to low of bounce for me. Love full swings with 52 and 56 f grinds 12 and 14 but like m grind around greens in 56. Not crazy about m in 60. May bag a tm 60 hi toe

The 54 is available is the F 14º, S 10º & M 8º grinds and remember this is the playability of loft, not actual measured loft. Playability comes from the initial bounce on the leading edge, camber/lack of camber, and width of the sole. I've played the 54.14 since it was released and love it in all conditions. It is the last club I swing full tilt so I want it with max forgiveness on the sole.

For those that want to utilize a 46 or 48º in the bag but want more bounce the new SM7 is stock with 10º of playable bounce. I have a Tour Issue SM5 46.10F that Aaron Dill built for me last time I played in the Fed Ex St. Jude... night and day difference and absolutely loved the higher bounce in this wedge.

 

I believe the 48º SM7 is going to get more love, not just from the traditional MB and CB players, but for the transition wedge with players in the AP3. I know I'm getting one!

Titleist told me that the Fitters get the standard wedges at the beginning of February, special orders can be fitted from mid-Feb.
