New Putter Company Swag Golf?

Recommended Posts

The Swag site does say that they are "designed to rust"

  • 1-Piece Billet Milled Design
  • Head Weight: 350g
  • Designed, Milled, and Assembled in the USA
  • Chicago Carbon Steel Billet
  • Rust Patina Finish (This putter is designed to continue rust)
  • Smoked Satin Stepless Shaft

If you took one of those putters brand new and put it on a club rack in your house it would not rust. If you take it outside and use it without keeping it dry and oiled it will continue to rust.

I can't wait to get my Savage Too they really nailed the shape imo.

That makes sense. As a no rust is good rust guy I dont ever buy a club that rust.

That putter looks nice but Id like to see your pics of it in hand. I could not decide if I liked the head shape or not and waffled on the buy. Then it was sold out making up my mind for me lol

I will post in hand pics once I get it should be tomorrow or Friday.

BTW I'll go on record that I like the marketing and colors etc. It's different and stands out and I find it tongue in cheek funny and it often makes me laugh. Also there's alot of references to things from my childhood and the lingo used is alot from that era probably because Nick and I are about the same age.

I also like the approach they take and the different colors etc. I dont really understand all the hate just for a name, ffs get over it. SWAG! If you dont like it have fun with your SeeMore Bogeys putter.

from what I understand Seemore has a pretty good record on tour for usage and wins. If you think you are buying a swag putter to save Strokes you most likely will be wrong. If you are buying it because of style and looks, because it suits your eye, then more power to you.

I could care less about tour usage or stats. I know we like to validate our choices by usage on tour but we all know most of them get paid to play what they do. SeeMore is about as ugly as a putter gets and I dont care what the tour stats say I wont use one. But I do get what you are saying.

'I couldn't care less'

Anyhow, I think it is a little bit important how a putter is accepted on tour, it means it is validated by the best in the world. They wouldn't use a putter if it didn't work for them. Yes, they are a bit on the homely side but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You are right in saying that just because one person on tour is successful with a particular putter that doesn't mean everybody or anybody else will be.

Good catch! They wouldn't use a putter if it didn't work for them. For them is the key part. Its not always what works for them that works for me. I'm a very vain golfer so I care a lot about how it looks and how it looks more specifically to me. I don't know about you but if I dont love to look at it, it wont work.

absolutely, if I can get attached to the appearance of any particular club, and it doesn't matter what club it is, I don't think I could play it. Looks is very important, and I think that's what I sort of meant in my original post.

Serious and curious question, do you guys buys these $600 putters, because they look cool, or because you hope they will improve your putting? Considering you can`t actually try them out, it`s a bit risky for hope of improvement.

I can't speak for others, but I buy putters because I like to collect them.

In hand pics of my Savage Too. Looks even better in person. I think SWAG does a great job w the shape of all their putters. They get all the little details right. The Savage Too is no different. I love the dimensions and the subtle rounded curve in the back edge. I also really like how the bumpers are shaped. It'll get a good workout next week in Scotland and I'll report back how it works on the course.

Scotland in December..! Looks like 5 degrees and between 7-18 mph winds.

There is never a bad time to goto Scotland! And coming from Michigan it's downright tropical. :)

This guy is going to eat Tyson Lambs lunch.

His stuff just has the cool element that Tyson lacks.

This guy is actually making putters instead of trinkets, so he's got that going for him, which is nice.

hahahahaahahahahaha what a joke

Wow, just looked at his site and it’s crazy that he’s actually selling those. The brand following seems to seriously have lost steam but who knows.

Anywho, swag putters look cool but wish they did some without the giant skull and sunglasses

This guy is actually making BOTH and making it work. His "trinkets" sell out just as fast as they do over at Lamb and most go right to eBay.
