Old Navy Slim Go-Dry Pants - how do they hold up?

Re: being an older version, this might be the case. Truth be told, I prefer no buttons. It looks cleaner and nicer. Here are the photos from the Old Navy website, showing no buttons on Navy:

I noticed the same thing dxdgenert - my navy do not have buttons either. I bought my first two pairs at the Eagan Outlet store (I'm in the Twin Sizzle as well) and the blue didn't have buttons, but the black did. When I ordered the two gray, another black, and another blue online, they all came with buttons - event the 2nd pair of navy. I'm with you, I prefer no buttons. I wear them for work now and even casually (actually, my wife made me wear jeans on Saturday night and I almost through a fit like our kids).

 

I'm looking forward to the new lighter gray color. I'll order up two. Not sure about the khaki color. I haven't worn brown in a while and I didn't like the (olive) croc tears - I think I have one green t-shirt, that's it.

Up to three pairs, and with the exception of length (usually wear 29"s), these things are perfect. I teach and coach golf so these and a polo are my go to end of the school year wardrobe. Looking forward to trying them on the course. Now just need the khakis to be released.

I checked the store yesterday and looks like older pairs in the store didn't have a button on the Black or Navy or the Dark Gray. Maybe the newer version online does.

Can't remember if I told the story earlier in the thread, but I had a guy come in the store saying that he got invited to play with his boss that afternoon but he didn't have time to run home to change. I asked what he normally wears and he said he had some Lululemon pants that he liked. I showed him these and after he tried them on he said they were exactly what he needed. I doubt it will replace his more expensive brands but it was good that I could find something to help him out in a pinch.

Not the update you guys were hoping for but it does look like we are fully back in stock online for the navy, black and Crocodile Tears (it drives me nuts how we name colors, lol.) I know a lot of you guys were looking for the croc tears, so if you didn't get your size they are back in stock. I'll try to let you know the best I can the next time they go on sale!

 

Edit: this is actually a very good sign that we are going to continue with the style going forward. If we were going to discontinue them, we wouldn't have restocked these colors. That should be a good indication of things to come!

I don't, unfortunately. I wish I did, Canada does big business for us! Keep checking online, hopefully it will update for you soon! Our customer service reps are awesome, too. If you give them a call they might be able to help out. I assume it is the same number for you, it is just 1-800-OLD-NAVY for the US.

I don't have the dry quick ones, but have the regular slim ultimate khaki, and a pair of the 360 khaki, both are great IMO, fit is spot on. I would not say for golf in any heat, but sure for a Spring/Fall pant, have just that little bit of stretch.

Thanks I also like the fit of the ultimate slim. I just noticed the quick drys and look like another option for golf, some of the reviews mention golf as well.

I actually got a pair of these shipped to me in error when I ordered some go dry's. They are nice but definitely more "cotton-y" and more casual looking than the go dry's IMO. I returned them fwiw

Tried these on the other day and they were a super weird fit for me. Maybe it’s just that I am not used to slim pants, but I am a 38/29 for pants, tried on the 38/30 and the waist was almost too big but the legs fit just about perfect. I didn’t try on a 36, figuring the waist would fit but the legs would be too tight.
