Old Navy Slim Go-Dry Pants - how do they hold up?

Thanks all for the shoe inputs. I found an Ecco slip on that I like … and thankfully Zappos has free shipping and returns if it turns out bad.

 

I received my tan pants today. I like the fit. I think it is a bit slimmer in the legs (per an earlier post) but a tiny bit roomier in the hips. Probably not a work pant for me, but will absolutely be used in cooler weather on the course and on the weekends.

Are the khakis the only color available in the more tapered, slimmer look?

In the description it states that they are welt pockets in the back. I’m assuming here, but is this design reflected on the Navy color in the pictures of not having buttons? Can anyone who ordered recently answer whether the back pocket had buttons or not? Thanks.

My Khaki pair (ordered 2 weeks ago) have buttons. I also don't think the cut/fit is any different, when compared to my Navy, Dark Gray, Croc Tears or Black pairs.

Just got my order (3 of 4) today. The navy does not have buttons. The grey and green do. And they are slimmer than the first iteration, by almost 3/4-1 inch in diameter on the calves. I was wearing the originals today and did a quick side by side check. The new ones definitely slimmer and in a nicer direction with fit. Gosh with they had these is more than the current colors. Soooo good. I also have a back up pair of the originals, 4 colors. Lol (three pairs in total of same color).

I’m telling you guys, I’m very certain they are all the same pattern. What you are probably experiencing is the low quality control and loose tolerances, from the manufacturer. I have every color of these pants and have returned and exchanged many pair because they can be up to 1 full inch bigger or smaller in the waist. The only color that is definitely different are the lack of buttons on the back pockets of Navy Blue.

absolutely not, is a different cut 100%. The newer version has 2 small seams on the leg, not 1. They fit is totally different in the legs.

Are you talking about the “seams” in the knees? Every pair that I own has two.

Yep, I was wrong about that, 2 on both, but the fit is too much different for it to just be QC.

The fit on mine is a little all over the place. The 2 gray pair fit perfectly (if a little loose in the waist), the navy pair in the same size is much looser.

I can't attest to the Old Navy pants, but I do know the varying fit issue is a regular problem with Banana Republic. There is a linen blend pant from Banana that I really like to wear in the office on non-suit days, great value, doesn't look too linen-y, but cool in hot/humid summer months.

 

Anyway, during the last 50% off sale, I ordered 6 pair all the same style, size, etc., just different colors. 4 of the 6 fit, and two were way off, like the crotch was in a completely different spot, and the leg width wasn't close. I returned the two unfitting pair with no problem. I've had the issue even trying on Banana pants in the store. Not a huge deal because at this level we're not exactly paying for the highest quality.

It's synthetic. Doesn't shrink. Just do normal wash and hang dry. I usually do that with all my golf polyester / nylon material.

Decided not to wait, navy khaki and dark grey on the way, not to mention two active shirts as that’s all I wear and my wife got some leggings and a dress for 103$ not bad at all. We had 20$ in cc earnings.
