It was playing extremely slow yesterday. I was with the Choi/Recari/Phatlum group and we finished in just over 5 hours. Everyone was taking a little extra time due to the wind.

5 hours is truly pathetic for 3 pro golfers who take approximately 72 shots and never/rarely waste any time looking for lost balls, etc.

I wasn’t able to get Hee Young’s group today. I walked with two Thais today (P.K. & Pannarat). Fitting since today is Songkran (Thai New Year).

The reason you don’t hear anyone yell “Get in the hole” is because there just isn’t too many people out there. I only had one person follow our group today and that was a family member. Lydia Ko was behind us and there was no one following her group. The biggest following of course was for Wie.

Aside from most people being at work/school, the course is also relatively out of the way. When I followed Danielle Kang's group on Wednesday there were about 15 people following, and Lydia's group on Thursday had about 25-30. For the weekdays a lot of the fans are tourists from Asia, who aren't likely to shout "get in the hole" anyway

Ugly finish by Brooke. She could have put this one in the bag early. With seven players within 4 shots, this could get interesting. Five of them are previous winners, and four of them are major winners. Inbee and Shanshan are lurking.

 

I'm surprised to see Nasa up there. She's had a rough time on the LPGA. Perhaps this is the time to put that behind her.

 

It's strange to see a tournament with such high scoring, as we're used to a lot of birdie fests. The fairways seem firm, with a lot of rollout for many players, so it's got to be a combination of wind and pin placement. It looks like the low round yesterday was 67. Brooke's 2nd round 66 appears to be the low round of the week. I'd say that rules out the players 5 shots back.

Are you asking about the size of the crowds, the lack of yelling or the crowd following Wie? Others answered the first two... Like it or not Wie is still the biggest fan favorite to follow on tour. Here at the Phoenix event her galleries dwarf the others.

Brooke has averaged 286.5 yards off the tee so far this week. She averaged over 290 yards for the first two rounds. She's been really pounding it. With little rough, there doesn't appear to be much trouble off the tee.

Yes...there are SIX Jeongeun Lee's on both the KLPGA and LPGA....I think 3 of them are retired...and some of the younger Lee's have never met the retired Lee's

 

I think number 6 has her 6 name on her shoes.

 

It's a lot easier to remember the Koreans (LPGA/KLPGA/JLPGA) when they have nicknames like Namdalla, Inky, NYC, Clover Girl, SKY, Sharon, Smile Candy, The Rocket, Dumbo, Peanut Jtibs, etc...and if you don't know their real names then you're not a fan of theirs....therefore it doesn't matter. :taunt:

 

I think all the Koreans have been showcased in Argonne's fashion thread many times....obviously some more than others.

You did, but its not true. There are 2 current I believe, one on the KLPGA (6), and one on the LPGA (5). I am not sure what the system is! I don't think there's an exact system.

I really like SKY...Soo Jin is ok...but that's about it...obviously everyone has different tastes which makes life interesting.

Jenny Money will continue to be world women's RR #1...it\s crazy that others haven't been able to dethrone her this year...but I think it's more that the other premier LPGA stars have played very average this year.
