I'm trying not to hate on this but it just strikes me as kinda cheesy. Lots of these selections are pretty cringeworthy.

I wish I could like this comment more than once....

Enter Sandman hasn't been badazz for at least 15 years now.... c'mon!!!!

Steve Stricker and Jerry Kelly with "As Good As I Once Was" by Toby Keith. Self deprecating humor from the over 50 set. Varner and Garrigus going with "Ebony and Ivory". :taunt: PC police will be out in full force over that one.

Virginia Tech grad Johnson Wagner going with the best entrance in all of college sports.

I'm a die-hard UK fan, but to this day I get the chills watching Va Tech come out to "Enter Sandman" before a big game. Truly is the best entrance in sports.

Also, Go Cubs Go.

Why no Widespread Panic? Some big swings and misses from the UGA boys. Bass line intro from either Chilly Water or Barstools & Dreamers would be perfect

Action Man

no lyrics, of course

run of the mill driver with stock shaft
a couple of outdated hybrids
shovel-ier shovels
wedges from same shovel company
some putter with a dead insert and
a hideous grip

Almost every game, the entrance at Virginia Tech registers on the Richter Scale. The whole stadium bounces up and down. It's awe inspiring to see in person. Not the biggest stadium, seating 65,650, but is certainly one of the loudest with the almost vertical stands.

interested to see how the crowds receive Rahm/Braun, Kisner/Brown, Na/An, JT/Cauley as well as a couple other pairs

Hip hop is more popular than you think.

So is eating Tide pods. Doesn't make me a fan of either.

Hip hop is to music what IPA's are to beer. The fastest growing style in their category, and what all cool people are into. You can't stop it!!!

So this is a real thing, isn't it? I just did a Google search, and found the PGATour.com page for this. "Walk-up music"? I thought it was an online joke.

Unfortunately not!!

Oh, the horror. Playing a song for probably 2 mins while a group is walking up on the 1st tee. Tell me why this is bad?

It's funny. Fans will like it and it doesn't interfere with the golf.

Was playing in a high end charity scramble in LA the other day...three people (all under 30) had speakers in their carts cranking tunes (this was at a swanky private course)....

The times they are a changin!

PS. As for rap, I listened (and saw) grandmaster flash, sugar hill gang, houdini etc... when I was in HS in NYC, but I couldn't listen to rap/hip hop after I turned 25...I'd imagine if I was under 30, I'd be listening to Drake and The Weeknd cause there arent many decent Rock or Alternative bands anymore!

Not sure who this Braun character is...

Hold up... so you'd made three (3) posts since creating that account over a year ago and decided to log in to make your fourth post about an grammatical error involving Wesley Bryans last name lol???

Right on, man. You keep doing you.

Virginia Tech - good, but Back in Black rules! Some footage of the historic black and gold victory over Penn State!

PGA Tour needs to study more real entrances, not lame Euro Tour stuff.

The Hawks entrance gets me going every time. Standing there holding hands in unity until the just the right time! Absolutely amazing

Pink locker room, Back in Black, and The Wave. It’s great to be a Hawkeye!

Um, it is Bryan's!

LOL, I could care less but figured I'd get it in before his 5th post. ;-)

Not that swanky, is my guess...

Or are you saying that they brought their own powered speakers, and put them in the club's carts (that otherwise would not have them)?

I don't know about you, but the general rule at the private clubs I frequent, is that cellphone usage is not permitted except in certain designated areas of the clubhouse. And stereo systems in carts are not even under consideration, much less regular usage.

Why no "Get Low"... seems to be a win/win??

Master P (who is from NOLA) for Na is my favorite choice so far. I dont know if it was dumb luck, or it was thought out - but it works.

The next evolution of this event should be that GolfWRX users get to pick the walk out songs for each group. Most of these teams definitely need a little bit of help (overall I'm giving them a C- for creativity), and there's so many MORE appropriate songs than what the teams picked. I'm also mandating that Xander Schauffele play in this next year (partner TBD) and he comes out to "X gon' give it to ya" by DMX.

Based on some of the responses so far, the "fun" music will be second choice to Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, or Bach. If people really want to grow the game, put something in it that would attract the people that are currently not interested. Would rap/hip hop music make some of the people on here go away from the game? -- no, they just may get their tighty whities a little bunched. Would rap/hip hop music potentially get a typically non-interested person at least curious? A lot better chance of that.... Whatever will help grow the game and make it more interesting to more, Im a fan. Everyone wants progress, but no one wants change.

El Cab...which isn't Bel Air, but is, as Judge Smails might say, no slouch! As a course, I love it.

And the players brought their own speakers...again, this was a Monday scramble so perhaps some rules are waived.

My experience with phones is that it's not OK on holes by the clubhouse or in the clubhouse, but OK on the course once you're out of range. LACC and Bel Air are definitely exceptions...they are one uptight group of members!
