Oh, I'm sure they would but wouldn't the medical field be going over fine tooth comb for anyone that comes to them for MRI. There are many cases where they simply couldn't see it with the MRI, look at cubs pitcher Yu Darvish recent elbow issues, who is another superstar athlete. He kept getting MRI's on his elbow/arm and they couldn't find anything yet he was in extreme discomfort to throw a pitch, went on for nearly a year like this with him rehabbing but not getting better, they couldn't find anything on MRI's.

 

Finally, after a year of this, one doctor was able to find the issue on MRI, stress reaction, and scheduled surgery to clean up loose debris in his elbow.

Durants achilles tendon for sure was intact prior or he wouldn't be walking, let alone playing.

Davis showed he's an impressionable kid, and he's got LeBron and Klutch (LeBron) in his ear all year telling him to go to LA. They won't let him sign anywhere else unless it's New York and they have such a good situation that it would be a borderline ethical violation to push him to leave.

Who knows. If I was in the NBA I would love to play on the Lakers over Boston. LA is the best city in the world if you are young and rich. Lakers are the best basketball franchise ever so why wouldn’t he want to play there? If I designed cars I would want to work for Porsche over Hyundai.

I don't blame a 25yr old for wanting to live in LA. I don't particularly like Boston myself....I just watch his "the shop" interview or whatever and it sounds like LeBron is writing his answers. His Looney toones shirt was an embarrassment and a sign of lack of maturity, as were some of his other comments "I'll play for any of the 29 teams!"

 

No one blamed Paul George or Kawhi for wanting to go to LA. It just seems like it's different for Davis. Does he want to go there or is he being told he needs to go there .

 

Even you have to consider at least somewhat that playing with a 35yr old LeBron might not be his best long term basketball situation. Unless they get someone else too of course

Why don’t the Lakers just pull out of AD trade and let the Pelicans come crawling back? Too much risk with someone else thinking they can convince AD? It’s apparent Boston is not going to give up too many assets. Kyrie is gone, chances are slim AD would resign in Beantown.

Too much risk, too much can change in a year. What if LeBron gets injured like KD did, for example. What if Kawhi signs a 1yr extension in Toronto and the Clippers loom as a Leonard destination and have SGA to dangle etc....

I agree I would want to trade him before next season for sure. I actually think his value is probably highest now because of that unknown element. But I just wouldn't want Ball. A three team trade might make the most sense as I think you said.

 

I don't think the Lakers can afford to play hardball though. They have to give the same package. It's just if I was the Pelicans I'd want to 3 team it to not have to deal with Ball. Maybe involve the Suns.

To me DeMar was always the guy who loved Toronto and adopted it as home. It's hard to explain but that always meant a lot to me being a different country and all. So I never liked the Raptors trading him... But Kyle was a close second. I guess I can be happy for that at least

Damn that sucks for Klay, ACL likely done for most of next year. GS will have their hands full making the playoffs. They literally left it all on the court. Not a fan of GS but hate to see them loose like that.

Who knows what the league will look like next year. Several of the top teams could be different. The only guy in Houston I'm sure will be back is Harden

 

Of the top 5 seeds in each conference, maybe only Portland, Indiana and Denver are really stable. Every other team could lose or trade all star caliber players

I’m gonna assume GS offers Klay and KD max so basically they would be without two starters most of season. If neither of those guys are back then they are likely in worst shape unless they get Kawhi and AD lol

I'd guess AD ends up in LA now that the Knicks thing probably fell apart . They have a good package. I'd also guess Kawhi does the 1+1 in Toronto and gives them another year.

Bill Simmons today said that Jay Williams was bashing the Warriors for misdiagnosing Kevin Durant and telling him things like he couldn't make it worse etc....he said he knew these things for facts

 

This is significant because Jay Williams is actually friends with Kevin Durant and hosts a show with him and rich Kleiman

 

So for him to say that, I'm guessing Durant is gone

What a heartbreaker for the warriors this finals! I hate seeing guys get hurt, and KD/Klay going down back to back games was just brutal. It was bad for basketball and put a kill on the finals as I was hoping for 7 games. I had no alliance to either side, but I would have liked to see Klay just light it up on the forth and game 7. He was on fire prior to getting hurt, and I sincerely believe the warriors pull off the series win if he doesn't tear his ACL.

 

Hats off to the Raptors thought. FVV played so solid down the stretch, Spicy P only has tons of upside and potential, Lowry got his ring, and the Klaw appears to be the centerpiece for a formidable juggernaut in the east for the next five years. If I am Kawhi I am staying in Toronto for another year at least to see if we can repeat.

Steph looked human in the forth quarter, but I am sure between emotions and having 19 guys guarding him that would happen to almost anyone. Draymond played an ugly game, but he was a right on par with how the warriors played the entire series. They turned over WAY too much, and being careless with the basketball cost them a championship. I think the injuries knocked the wheels off their little red wagon, but sloppy passes, defense, and ball-handling were key errors they made all six games. The raptors played the best defense in the league this post season, so they really made the warriors look like less than the "greatest team ever assembled". I look for the warriors to bounce back next year and make a run in the playoffs. Klay won't be out long. Dude has the heart of a champion and loves to play basketball!

I just find it hard to believe. Didn’t Kevin’s personal doctor approve him? The MRIs are saved so if another doctor looks at it now he could easily see if their was any warnings that the GS doctors missed or failed to mention.

 

I honestly think this was a fluke bad luck type thing.

I agree with you, I doubt golden state has incompetent doctors or would tell someone they couldn't reinjure something (I don't think that's ever possible) but really it's only important what Durant believes
