Whenever she opens right off the lead, she puts up a terrible 2nd round and she fades back into the pack.

There's a fine line between playing well and winning on any tour....always tough to hang on to win come Sunday afternoon.

On the LPGA...the cream generally rises to the top....because many events still have some top ranked plays still entering and playing the events.

Arron O on Golf Central also mentioned today that most LPGA events are won by the top 25 with some exceptions....Pernilla, Annie Park, etc, this year.

I'm confident for Inky ... though as you said earlier, it's almost ambiguous whether she'd be just as happy doing something else with the time...

I really believe the S. Koreans would rather see Hye Jin Choi on the team than IK Kim...I might imagine they think that Inky is too "westernized".

I wonder about all the legal ramifications of the binder. I know they can throw anyone out but at least give the poor dude his ticket money back. I mean if you get caught and held by those rent a cops you haven't really broken any laws I guess. Just publicly labeled a creeper and branded in the binder.

 

We need someone who has been busted in the binder to post here. Are they banned forever? Do the rent a cops rough you up a little bit? I know the binder is thick.

I don't know if the security team can throw you off the grounds based on "just because".

 

I know we all make fun of BJ following Michelle like a puppy dog but I believe BJ is also scanning the gallery for anyone suspicious....he's a father and any dad will do anything to protect their children.

I read once that a Wie fanboy showed up to an event wearing a football jersey....it had the numbers 10 11 89....this person was approached by the security team and chatted with.....I imagine BJ called security.

Michelle was born on Oct 11, 1989....no way some random rent a cop would have clued into 10 11 89.

 

I think there are quite a few LPGA pros who have/had stalkers......so the LPGA doesn't take it lightly.

Gulbis and Danielle Kang have had their hotel rooms broken into....never mind the other issues the public will never hear about.

 

Paige Mackenzie had a stalker who was convicted and went to jail....I think this really affected her play on tour cause she was always watching her back.

Sung Hyun and Brooke right at the top of the board makes me happy, good round by So Yeon also. In Gee came back nicely after a rough start, will need a better round along with Jin Young today.

Looks like Golf Channel installed Ad Blocking detection to their video streaming. And since I can't disable Ad Blocking on my work computer, I'm stuck watching the leaderboard.

 

Glad I'm not the only one suffering.

 

This isn't a fabulous DVR hack, but--if I use the next-to-fastest fast forward speed and hit pause (not play) as the Golf Channel ads for itself start running, I can then hit the play button, suffer through a few seconds, and get back to the broadcast without the whole thing skipping way, way ahead. Anyone else have a better fix?

I feel like Brooke shots another mid 60's round today and grabs the lead into the weekend.

 

I almost don't want Park to go too low, she has a bad history in round 3 with a big lead.

 

Lot of golf to be played, hope they stay cool as possible, supposed to be 100 in Iowa today, heat index close to 110, and I think the same is in store for them.

I think the late wave today is getting the bad end of the draw. I'm betting this afternoon the greens will be a little harder and a little faster. I don't see the fairways firming up much even on the weekend they are really soft. This is good for Lydia, Nelly and Shanshan but bad news for Danielle kang, Imbee. The afternoon will have 20 KM/H winds nothing crazy but will add a challenge for the players

I didn't mind Paige as a player....but she's not a natural for TV....and tries too hard....often giggling a bit too much....this includes when she's on Morning Drive.

Here are some pics from yesterday. A few observations from the day:

1. Level of play is very impressive! I played between scratch and 4 handicap on a PGA Tour Qualifier course into my later 50's. These girls would have beaten me like a rented mule!!!

2. Following In Gee for 8 holes, her fans are like no others. Additionally, her style of play and countenance is downright regal.

3. Followed Jess Korda for the back nine...she was gracious to the marshals, chatted briefly with some fans and was genuinely nice to people. All reasons I'm a big fan of hers.

4. Not that they are the only ones but Stacey Lewis and Bea Recari play joyless golf. Not trying to beat up on them but that's just the way they play.

5. Kay Cockeril was really pleasant to chat with. She's playing in the inaugural Women's Senior US Open and had an afternoon time at Chicago GC, so no reason to not be pleasant!

5. Initial feelings confirmed, Kemper Lakes is no Olympia Fields. OF is much more stately, with huge and magnificent old, Oak trees and a more natural setting. Plus, the logistics for hosting a tournament are better.

Trugravity and Arg...if you want Dumbo to make the Korean Int'l Crown team....you two better not show up empty handed and give In Gee a lucky charm gift and fanboy her...she'll need more support than the 10 Flying Dumbo's who show up.

 

KBong, sadly, I have no gift for In Gee but am hopeful of following her for her front nine tomorrow. I have a drawing for Jess Korda and will try to get one for In Gee, albeit next year.

Huh....WTF...that's like going to a dinner party and not bringing a bottle of wine or flowers for the hostess.

You're driving over 3 hrs and can't take an additional 15 minutes to stop into a H-Mart or Korean grocery store and buy In Gee some snacks.

You'll never be accepted into the Flying Dumbo fan club without putting in some effort. :taunt:
