People were placing side bets on me before it started because they said it looked like I could take the biggest bite.

 

Most people went across the burrito like a typewriter. I went with the cocked neck from a the side anaconda style. The burritos were much bigger than a double meat chipotle. It was a 5 minute limit. Most people still had a third of theirs left. I had half a bite. No girls wanted to talk to me after. The bettors afterwards though were like:

Anyone play the stadium course at sawgrass? Worth the $500? I have a chance to plat there about a month prior to the Players, so grandstands will be up and course should be in great condition.

 

A few years ago I played Kapalua about a month before the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. The course was in great condition, views spectacular and I loved it. One thing to consider, though, is that if you're expecting tournament condition greens....supers will grow out the greens to be real furry about a month prior and then start cutting them down closer to tournament week. Not sure if that's how they treat TPC, but, thought I'd share my experience.

I agree with City,I don't mind spending $500 if playing with friends, I doubt I would spend that much playing with random people.

even if I’m playing with great friends at pebble, I would still have trouble justifying $500 for a round of golf. Now if there was no wife or kids in the picture and I only had to financially take care of me, then $500 is easy to spend.

Sometimes you have to justify the cost/hour and per hole.

I do regret being an idiot parent and spouse and not playing Torrey Pines, Kiawah and the Kingsmill River Course on vacations.

Question for the bourbon drinkers - is Blanton's worth the $60? I know that is a very subjective question but I'm trying to justify the purchase. I'm still pretty new to bourbon and am trying to build my collection. Eagle Rare is half the price and I know I like it.

Blanton's is fantastic. It's my baseline bourbon.

I'm super hyped for the FrankenTyne. I still can't decide what color to have it finished. Regardless of whether it ends up staying in the bag, I'm keeping it. I can't let a one of a kind gmen masterpiece out into the wild.

In the grand scheme of things, $60 is couch change. Everyone who drinks bourbon has bought at least one bottle of Blantons, likely several.

Blanton's is very good. It comes from the same distillery as Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare (at twice the price). I'll drink the Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare more often, but I like the Blanton's better.
