Clicgear owners: anyone replaced the front brake hammer before?

About a month ago, I started to push the cart and forgot to disengage the brake. I promptly heard a loud SNAP at the front. Further inspection looked like the hammer that the cable controls had a tooth break or something similar.

I was looking at some of the scores for the senior open.

I mean, dude. . .what are you even doing? He followed up the Day 1 108 with a Day 2 98 (not posted yet). I guess he just gets "nervous" in big events and shoots 30 strokes higher than his average. Nerves will really do that to you. What a joke.

Also, the 108 ON THE CARD had a bunch of triple bogeys on it, so the guy isn't even familiar with the concept of Equitable Stroke Control, but he's a scratch golfer.

Not that this is what you asked, but my brake has been so janky for so long, I don't even use it anymore. I always just find a flat spot, or point it sideways on a hill (zero-gradient). It's surprisingly easy to get used to.

Just don't park it on a flat spot at the top of a hill facing a pond with the wind behind it. Or so I've heard. . .

This part, right? https://www.clicgearusa.com/clicgear_parts_p/c-bg02.htm

Someone was telling me they did this, or at least pointed it out to me. Maybe AHoop?

I need to replace mine as well. The part pic shows 6 teeth, and I've broken at least one.

I don't get that. I'd basically have to break a limb out there to shoot a 108, and I'm not a scratch like that guy allegedly is.

Apropos of not much, if we adjusted right now, I'd be a 1.1. This is a ludicrous notion. I haven't been playing that well, but I shot +1 on 9 holes blue at Bethpage and then, I shot E for 9 playing Left/Right last wednesday and then I shot -1 for 9 in Saturday's tournament. I think all 3 scores went in as negatives.

Fortunately, I'm playing Friday and Saturday and I think I'm going to bump a couple low boys off.

Right now I feel like a 3 who plays like a 2 when a couple more putts go in. But, I did play to a 3 for legit, ball-in-the-hole events a few times this year.

(you can call this a passive brag, active brag, just stating the facts, or whatever. I don't think there's too many people here who wouldn't lick their chops to play me as a CH 2, or especially a 1).

1) buying a house in the village of pinehurst and getting memberships at both Pinehurst and Pine Needles/Mid Pines

2) Yearly trip to Bandon on a private jet.

GTW: You win the Mega Millions this week and take home $200MM or whatever in cash after taxes.

What specific golf-related things are you doing with the money?

All of them.

I was guessing this answer would have come from someone else, cheif. Do better.

Everything I do for the rest of my life would be golf related.

Specifically, traveling the whole world and playing in all the exclusive clubs I can.

I'm definitely buying a few trackman's for the Hive. Straight cash homie.

Which clubs? Which ones first? How will you get to play them? Travelling where?

YEARLY?!?!

buying a house in Pinehurst, joining Pinehurst, and PN/MP.

buying a house in Bandon, and spending most of my summer there

Here's why I said yearly:

Bandon wouldn't be great if you didn't go with friends, and since your friends are all still poor as s*** after you win the lottery, and even if you paid for everything for 4 or 8 of you, it'd be tough to go more than once a year.

I could go down to Pine Needles and Mid Pines and play golf alone forever. Bandon, I'd want it to be the right group of people.

Any that would take my money and let me play. We'll hit up Liberty National, Cypress, and then we'll fly across the pond to hit up Wentworth.

As a couplehundredmillionaire, I think I could pull this off.

GTW:

So starting point. Roommate is going to want to be in Cali, most likely Santa Barbara. Moving there, buying a house with a room dedicated to golf including full trackman setup and putting green.

Joining the most 'golfy' club in the area. I want to make sure I can walk, have a good crew to play with on the weekends, and a good game going every Wed. during the week.

Yearly trips to Bandon, yearly trip to Scotland/Ireland.

GTW: I'd actually really like to go full Keiser. Scour the country for a sick piece of property, and start building golf courses. Maybe get a well established name type person to architect the first course, to help create the demand for people to come. Then branch out and start giving the up and comers the subsequent jobs.
