I have a feeling a couple companies want to back a Brinks truck up for Koepka. Maybe JT?

Doubt JT is going anywhere. For Koepka, if it ain't broke, don' fix it, but maybe he'd like to be better compensated for playing his current set up.

I could see Koepka getting a Mizuno deal. They would give him a bag and irons deal.

I'll be staying mostly TaylorMade. Might give Mizuno a shot again. We'll see what happens

I could see Koepka getting a Mizuno deal. They would give him a bag and irons deal.

Recent article addresses that very thing where Mizuno says they actually might not.

https://www.pgatour.com/long-form/2018/08/28/golf-clubs-equipment-free-agents-success.html

According to Chris Voshall, Mizuno Golf's senior club engineer, the situation isn't that simple.

"We have so many conversations right now," Voshall said. "The tricky things is, if we're not paying them, we can't say their name, feature them or talk about them. Then there's the side thing of Mizuno, right or wrong, being pigeonholed as an iron company. So there's the whole discussion of if you pay somebody to play just your irons, who was going to play them anyway, what are we getting out of that?"

Now if push came to shove I don’t think they would say no to doing an iron only deal with Koepka, but it’s interesting from their perspective on why they might not.

I can't see Brooks signing with Mizuno unless he absolutely does not want to use anything else, because someone else will pay much more than they will. Then if he doesn't want to use anything else, like stated above, why pay him? The only positive is to get him in a Mizuno bag and have that shown on TV a lot (hopefully) but I don't know if he can just drop the Nike bag?

I wouldn't be so sure JT is staying with Titleist.............the list of BIG stars who've left Titleist for more money is LONG. Titleist makes nice clubs........but so do a lot of other companies.

The list is long, but how many had a father that’s a club pro on Titleist staff since they were kids. I doubt he’d ever leave. Titleist takes care of the club pros, and I doubt JT has really played anything else his whole life.

I have nothing against Titleist, my oldest son has been on staff with them for 19 years..........I understand the loyalty aspect, but what if a company offers him a 50 million dollar long term deal that includes a lucrative package for his father.

Big contract Nike:Gone. Big contract Taylor Made: sold by Adidas, losing money, getting hammered by Callaway now. What's next?

Can they sign up with a company now but not playing their clubs until next year?

This is really the worst time to make any switch.....such a crucial time in the season....unless they're out of it already......

Would PING sign Duf? He's not exactly the shiniest thing in the sky to promote

He will stay free agent I hope

Ping needs to replace some aging/falling stars....guys who used to get a lot of TV coverage which is what it's all about for the OEM's....Mahan, Oosthuizen are falling.... English is a disappointment.... Watson still has cache but he's about it... Finau isn't ideal because he doesn't use a Ping putter or wedges...

their hope for the future is Cameron Champ but that's about it....they're much better positioned on the LPGA with Henderson & some Koreans...

Ping really needs a personality on the PGA tour

One thing is true, if you sign with callaway your game will die. Reed and Garcia of late.

Miura will be going after... oh wait they just make the equipment that others stamp their name on. Forgot for a sec ;)

Callaway dumped reed some time ago.

My point exactly:

And he won the Masters after Nike signed him!

:)

No one switches endorsements during the Playoffs. These are all speculation for the '18-'19 season. Club contracts always used to be January 1st to coincide with the new season, but some more recently have been Oct. 1st.

Given the contempt with which he holds the paying public I would imagine he wouldn't hesitate on dropping Titleist without a second thought if a better offer came along.

What does Titleist and the paying public have to do with one another? Just curious. I feel like Titleist is one of the more expensive brands all around. Their balls have been gouging everyone for years and years.
