I wish there's a universal shaft adaptor for all woods so it's easy to swap shafts and heads. Maybe something like what Titleist or Callaway has.

 

It's not like this is a new intellectual property anymore.

Problem is every head would have to have same adjustability and they don't. OEMs would basically have to agree on standard adjustments

We have better odds of Congress agreeing on something then OEMs making a universal adaptor

It would be so nice if they all would pay Callaway for the rights to use theirs.

 

It’s by far the best with the double cog system and not needing to ever rotate the shaft to make your changes.

And universal weight screws, and universal wrenches with same #torque setting, and universal bbgm, and ....

I have the All Fit but the problem I have run into is that the screw size is different for some heads and I can’t get the screw out of the head to use the smaller one provided with the kit

There is zero incentive for OEMs to use a common adapter. The portion of the consumer market that needs this sort of flexibility is extremely small compared to the size of the overall golf buying market. Most consumers buy a new driver every 2-4 years and stick with whatever head/shaft combo they purchased until they buy a new head/shaft combo in the future. They aren't swapping heads and shafts, and they certainly aren't doing it between brands. We on WRX are the exception, not the rule.

 

Personally, I'm glad there is no industry-wide adapter standard. Yes, it would make life a little easier at times, but I like the idea that an OEM can come up with an adapter that is better than others and they can use that as a competitive advantage. I always have the option to pull an adapter myself or I can use an aftermarket system.

Took them how many years to get 95% of them to use the same wrench? Good luck on changing to a common adapter.
