I'm going down a side street for a bit. I bet a few of you will like my selections from STILL the category 80's music.  😉 The sights were as good as the sounds. So cool looking back. I was raging away in my 20's at this time, and what a perfect age it was to do so.

It's probably already in here  but yeah Tawny (RIP) in this hair metal ballad is pure 80's. She looked great, The Aqua Net was flowing, full pose mode was on. The song is still one of my guilty pleasures. "But I know what it means....to walk along the lonely street of dreams", lol. Love it . Radio goes to "11" with this kind of cheesy schtick.

I think she did an excellent cover of Barry White's classic and that's probably my favorite of hers.  She is quite the fox in that video as well. I love the clear New York dialect of hers that you can hear when she belts out all, or should I say AAuwwll !   Yea Taylor D. is sexy for sure.

Nawww  I get it as a zillion dudes thought Tawny was pure smoke. I did not as I saw too much of a nip and tuck- made in the doctor's office look at least to me, and she was too skinny. lol  Please tell me that picture up there in that post where she is in a shredded black jacket doesn't look kinda like Steven Tyler in drag???............told y'all.  😉

 

 

Now weren't we talking about the 1980's and that decades extra fine things?  I thought so !!

  We lived around the corner from where it happened  and saw the wreckage.  The car was destroyed  and of course poor Teddy was badly injured

Oh I know the story too well as I am a big Teddy fan going back to his Blue Note's days. The disclosed passenger description though rocked the music world. Just shows ya that for a few having any woman drop at your feet might not be your cup of tea. Tragic and shocking that RR accident was, awful news out of Philadelphia. All the drama aside, Teddy Pendergrass was on the Mt Rushmore of soulful male vocalists IMO. 

 

 

And since it's a Philly themed night around here how about one of my favorite sounds that came from that Pennsylvania city?   !!!
